Interviewed by Hosiery Advocate, Eugene

Hi Creative and Fashionable Individuals!

+Eugene Wong  aka Hosiery Advocate has posted up another part of his interview with me and this time was mostly surrounded on the topic of where I reside in, Singapore. You can read all about it here!

Eugene also has a online hosiery boutique "Hosiery Advocate's Boutique" and he stocks up brands such as Silks, Energizers, Silk Desires, Transparenze, Jockey & Viola.(but note that only the first 3 brands are listed on the catalogue)Also he has 2 other brands called Radiant Ronda and Utility Hosiery that are in experimental stage, which one can only order specially through contacting Eugene. Hosiery Advocate's Boutique ships them worldwide. They stock mostly Canadian hosiery brands. The prices are quite competitive with other online hosiery stores. I will most likely place an order in February and do reviews on some of the hosiery products! You can also visit the Facebook page here

Weekly Vibe #12

Hi Creative and Fashionable individuals!

Welcome to the 12th LFFM Weekly Vibe! This week was pretty awesome actually, I carried on with Hosiery Advocate +Eugene Wong's interview with me on the subject of men and hosiery. Do keep a look out for his blog hosieryadvocate.blogspot.com he is one of the pioneers in advocating men to wear hose openly and has boldly wore them openly and publicly in shorts and has gained recognition over the internet on the subject of pantyhose for men.

Personally I have been actively looking out for a new Canon DSLR to buy as I'm finding my Canon 500D insufficient to my professional engagements outside of working in the baby photography studio. I made a trip to Vivo City Singapore's Canon showroom and handled one of it's new mid-range Full-Frame sensor camera, the Canon EOS 6D and boy was I unimpressed.. well due to the fact that I use a Canon EOS 5D MK III in my studio which obviously surpasses the 6D in terms camera performance. It was smaller and gave me the toyish plastic feel.

So needless to say I'm going to buy the 5D MK III, and for those Nikon users out there.. no I won't buy Nikon, I won't even consider it at all... It's a photographer thing. I'm sure all the photographers get what I mean.. Anyways of course I wore tights out! And needless to say.. no one really cared or stared at me like I was some freak or anything.

I was thinking how I could match my Charnos 80D Navy Opaques with my clothes, I went with a black long sleeved shirt which I rolled the sleeves up, along with the army green cargo shorts, checkered flat hat and topped it off with a lenseless plastic black glasses and accessorised with a black tote bag. I kinda liked the look, but unfortunately no photos of the outfit because I do not have a front facing camera on my phone so I could only take photos of my legs.. :(

Meanwhile I'm still working on getting some time to do a review on the Sarah Borghi's 50den Line tights, I might probably be able to work it out during the Lunar New Year Season. That's all for this week!

Weekly Vibe #11

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to this week's installment of LFFM's Weekly Vibe! I had quite a fun week! As I have written on Thursday that I have received a pair of Sarah Borghi Line patterned Tights I ordered from Newlook on Monday. I will be doing a review on them soon when I do have the time to do so!

Saturday was pretty fun for me as I had a steamboat lunch with my fellow church photographers, I styled my outfit with a green and blue flannel tartan shirt, grey shorts and the ADRIAN argyle tights. The only comment I had was from my leader and she exclaimed, "Interesting outfit!" and all I said in a joking way was.. "I'm a Scottish!"

Church photography ministry crew! I'm the guy wearing a flat hat.

Had my outfit accessorised with ADRIAN's Argyle patterned tights for men
After lunch I hung out at ION Orchard, (which is the shopping district of Singapore) I was at H&M and Uniqlo checking out clothes that could suit me and I had some ideas too. But anyways as I was heading home riding the local underground train station or MRT as we call it. A young chap actually caught my eye.. He looked pretty hip.. he wore a baseball cap, a simple T-shirt, black cargo shorts and guess what else?  Black opaque tights!! I couldn't see too clearly, because he wore a high cut Converse shoes and hence it covered the foot but the bunching up of the tights around the foot tells me that he was wearing leggings. Leggings, Tights or Pantyhose or not, it's still legwear or hosiery! It got me really happy because there are guys who wear them! Anyways his style with the shorts kinda looked like this model in the photo below:

Today I wore my Sarah Borghi Line patterned 50den tights to church, it's non-event yet again.. but I did something new.. I actually layered the Line patterned tights, I wore a base layer Activskin Opaque Ribbed patterned tights and then put on the Sarah Borghi Line tights. The result was an extra shine and the opacity was increased.

I felt that more could be done for my outfit, I wore a grey wool sweater with grey shorts and of course with the layered tights. Anyways I will do that again and have some photos done! Thank you guys for supporting this blog because Legwear Fashion For Men has reached more than 20000 views!

New Tights Order: January 2013

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

I recently ordered a pair of tights from Newlook Marketing a Singaporean online hosiery store, this time I only ordered one and it's a Sarah Borghi 50 denier patterned tights called "Line".

I have ordered from Newlook Marketing before, and the time it takes to deliver is pretty fast, it takes about 2 to 3 days for them to arrive. They costed me SGD$13.90 or US$11.33 or GBP7.05. I ordered a Size 4 which is an XL for these.

Close up of material.

Also Newlook Marketing has a wide range of legwear, socks, lingerie, undergarments for both male and female on sale, they ship internationally and are sold at good prices. Have a look!

I will post up a review soon on the Sarah Borghi's Line tights when I get my hands on them and put them on myself!

Weekly Vibe #10

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome once again to Legwear Fashion For Men's Weekly Vibe! This week felt pretty slow for me, especially for the work week, but thank God somehow I managed to "pull through" the week, I'm always looking forward to the weekends like any other working adults. After taking up the leadership role of Commander in my World Of Tanks clan, I found myself having more commitments and responsibilities to my clan tank commanders to lead them to excellence and empowerment. Well with this aside, my passion for Legwear still keeps the same! My budget has been pretty tight lately and I haven't bought any hose for the month of January, in fact being a fan of FPSRussia on Youtube, I actually bought myself one of his shirts with the slogan "PROFESSIONAL RUSSIAN" and also being a huge fan of Epic Meal Time, I'm actually gonna buy myself some of their T-shirts and maybe a sweater!

Today I wore my Bottlegreen Charnos 80 den opaques to service, I actually really liked the look, I matched them with a blue green checkered flannel shirt, Cargo foldable pants, hi cut shoes and a checkered flat hat!

Actually I feel that having legwear as part of my accessory is gradually becoming a very non-event thing(which is good) and no one in my cellgroup even talks about what I wore anymore, compared to when I started having legwear for the first few weeks. And the response I was getting from strangers is almost non-evident, and it is usually responses in our own heads. For example, I got myself a new pair of jeans and it's a pair that I really like and I subconsciously expect passer-by's to take notice my jeans because of my knowledge of it being new and nice! Now, obviously to the average passer-by.. they wouldn't know that those jeans are new and neither would they know the jeans were my favourite. We just think too much about ourselves, especially for the men who are trying out legwear with shorter pants. The fact is society is becoming self-absorbed, I mean isn't it true? We are also self-absorbed to also think that people are noticing us.. which is usually not the case.. I mean unless we go around wearing a mascot costume, I'm sure everyone would be noticing.. for a short while that is.

As for future hosiery orders for January I'm actually looking at probably ordering one of Sarah Borghi's Patterned Tights "Line"

The line pattern looks pretty neat I must say! Once again I'm very thankful for the support you readers give this blog! In fact I have an appeal.. especially for the Singapore readers.. as I have noticed a big number of Singapore users reading this blog. I hope to actually hear from you through this blog or add me up on Google+ via this blog and also on Facebook.

In Focus: Miss OroBLU Omnia Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Here is the much awaited review of the Miss OroBLU Omnia Tights!

These actually came to me on the 21st of December in 2012, but it took me really some time to think of what wear these with the clothes I have in my wardrobe, firstly because it's actually tights made for women, it was really a HUGE step of faith for me to buy these(I usually consider a long time before buying them) I wore them twice actually, first time was to take "model" shots and the 2nd time was wearing them to Church on Sunday service last week. It was actually pretty uneventful except for some things that happened to these tights! Which I will explain later... Hahaha!

I paid these for 9.09GBP at a flash sale off Tightsplease, and to be honest when I took them off the paper board package, they smelled really good and were very long when it dropped down to it's full length. One thing I noticed that the patterns were stitched on and to be truthful didn't have good experiences with stitched on patterns before.. like the ADRIAN Grating tights with its stitched on argyle patterns because of frays and loose threads hanging out.

Inside out view of the stitched on patterns.

Putting these on was pretty easy actually, I kinda thought they felt kinda short but with a little adjustment, it was pretty fine, the patterns started going a little expanded at the kneecap and lower kneecap area when I was seated down, which is pretty expected. the opacity coverage was somewhat good except while seated. The patterns went up all the way to the thighs only, with a plain white "control top" which made me feel like a ballerina... Hahaha!

The accident that happened to me while wearing them was while going to the Gents, after getting done with what I was supposed to do, I unknowingly zipped up and actually part of the tights go caught in the zip and I noticed it when I went to the Gents the second time! Oh my goodness! What a disaster! The damage was too bad, good thing that it didn't leather but there was a small hole caused not by a torn but an overstretch, from zipping up.

Damage can seen at the middle seam on the centre of the photo

These tights really kept me quite comfy in the cold air-conditioning in the Church expo hall but after service was over and was I was out in the hot sun.. I was truly feeling the heat in my legs! Also.. I realised that I could see threads hanging out.. which was the result of prolong wearing and abrasions while walking and also being pattern stitched tights.

Stray threads sticking out from the patterns
The most appealing factor to me was actually the pattern, it's truly pretty cool and really does give a slight hypnotic impression.

T-Shirt : PUMA  Jacket: Unknown  Shorts: THOMAS SMITH  Shoes: NORTH STAR  Shades: H&M  Legwear: MISS OROBLU Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

Price: GBP 9.09  (Usually GBP12.99 because of a Ultimate Christmas sale at Tightsplease. However there is discount now you can get them at GBP10.39)

Material content: 96% Nylon 4% Elastane

Sizes offered: S to XL

Colours: Omnia (Black and white patterned)

Pros: Keeps legs warm, Creative and fashionable pattern, waistband doesn't roll & Flat seamed

Cons: Not the cheapest, stitched on pattern means short loose threads from the pattern would appear after long time of wearing them, fabric can easily get caught if you have slight rough surfaces on your hands, always wear gloves to put them on & very challenging to match clothes with, I recommend going for white shirts and black shorts or vice versa colour combination.

Overall I'm giving these a 2.5 out of 5 stars, it won't be likely that I will be getting them again. The only retaining factor are the awesome patterns it has.

Weekly Vibe #9

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Happy New Year! This is the first post of the year for Legwear Fashion For Men! My apologies for not following up on the final week! I have been quite busy during the holiday season! I had a quite a fabulous holiday week! On the 29th of December last year me and my best friends went over to a friend's place for dinner and not just any dinner.. it was a Uniform dinner! Here are some photos!
