Weekly Vibe #25

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome once again to Weekly Vibe! Today is the 25th installment! This week was pretty fun and the biggest highlight for me at least was the World of Tanks South-East Asia Server's First Anniversary!

I had a lot of fun with my friends, we joined the anniversary tournament 7 vs 7! Although we didn't win the tournament but still at least we lost to one of the finalists! I got a lot of freebies and foodies! And of course how can I not go wearing legwear too!? I wore my ActivSkin Camo patterned tights with shorts and topped it off with a Soviet Cold War Era tank helmet! I'm glad to be part of the pioneering first few players of the server and now we have grown to thousands of players already!!

Now down to hosiery news, UK Tights is offering a 20% off their Girardi Hosiery the picture below will show you how to claim your 20% off!

StockingsHQ are also having their discounts! 10% off their stockings, hold-ups and tights for this week!
15% off their Charnos 24/7 and Simply Bare products this week! Special introductory offer to the Charnos Killer Figure shaping and support ranges. Click here to find out more!

And finally last but not the least something special for the Singaporeans here, Singsale has included Pretty Polly Hosiery in their special offer catalogue till Tuesday, Hosiery price ranging from S$5 to S$13 stocked up with many prices and styles however do note that you have to be registered as a member of Singsale to enjoy the excellent deals.

I'm currently working out a review on the Gatta 100 den Rosalia Opaque tights, I will probably take some time as I will be trying on both size XL and L sizes giving different perspective, earlier today I tried on the Gatta 100 den Sheer Opaque Florence tights and will do a review write up when the Gatta 100 Den Rosalia Tights review has been done!

I wish you guys an awesome Sunday!

Weekly Vibe #24

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

It's again the end of the week and the 24th edition of LFFM's Weekly Vibe! This week was pretty cool for me as I had many activities up over the weekends! As you all might have known that LFFM has released reviews on the 2 pairs of Knittex hosiery; Smart & Sporty, you can read Smart's review here and Sporty's review here

Saturday was pretty packed for me as me and my family went to celebrate a month's birth of my cousin's 2 twins and I finally got a first hand touch to carrying a baby younger than 2 months and boy was it an awesome experience! I also had the opportunity to help comfort a crying baby in my arms.. and it felt so lovely!

Later in the day me and my cousins went out for an outdoor shoot to various locations and boy was I really exhausted and sun-kissed by the blazing sun.. but the photos were well worth it! Here are some photos!

In Focus: Knittex 20 Den Smart Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we will be taking an in depth look of a unique pair of tights by Knittex. As you all might have know that Knittex has graciously sent me 2 sample pairs of their men's collection of their hosiery products, one of which is this "Smart" 20 den tights and the "Sporty" 100 den Opaque Footless Tights, you can read the review of the latter in here (You might probably notice the package saying 30 den but actually in its physical form.. it has been corrected to 20 den)

The Smart tights was packaged in a very classy rectangular cardboard packaging with the tights wrapped around a card in a clear plastic envelope which I find it useful to store my tights. Packaging is style is identical to that of the Sporty Opaque Footless Tights.

At first I got very mixed feelings as I am not a big fan of sheers at all due to the fact that sheer tights typically do not last long. I was more meticulous at handling and putting them on, I usually would use gloved hands to put on my tights and these sheers were no exceptions because no one likes having snags in their tights right?

Putting them was quite a bit of an experience because I didn't want ruin them so soon, when I actually rolled them up all the way to my thigh I found out to my horror, the right inner thigh part of the tights had a very tiny snag mark and I wasn't too sure if I caused or not, but it wasn't so bad as that part of my legs wouldn't show.. But it didn't matter as I wore jeans because it was working day for me. They seem to glide very well up my legs and under long pants, it was actually quite easy to wear them provided that your legs are dry of course! I also noticed a matt shine to the tights. The boxer and socks were made of higher denier content, opacity looking like 80 denier.

I wore them for the entire work day at the gallery taking enquiries, I'm usually tasked to work in the studio as a photographer but specially for that week I was assigned to the gallery, so I thought I try the Smart tights under my jeans.

These tights are designed to be worn as undergarment as well which is something I really like about Knittex tights. They actually felt really comfortable and smooth, so much so that I forgot that they are actually still on! And well I have to say that though these don't cost a lot but in terms of comfort, they fall under the category of excellent hosiery brands. Not the sort you pick up from the drug store.

Double breasted jacket: H&M  Shorts: HUSH PUPPIES  Shoes: TOPMAN  Glasses: H&M  Legwear: KNITTEX   Bag: ZiNC   Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

Price: 16.54 Polish Zlotys which equates to about US$5.26 or GBP 3.45

Material content: Polyamide 88% & Elastane 12% with gusset

Sizes: 3, 4 & 5 M, L & XL

Colours: Black

Pros: Nice glide, comfortable, stays in place, good size ranges, inexpensive & unique.

Cons: Snag easily due to denier level, you can wear them for extended times only if you have taken very very good care of them & a lot more care is needed to handle them.

In conclusion I would like to describe these tights to be a little bit of an adventure for me, the adventure of putting them on and not ruining them so soon and the adventure of actually enjoying how they felt on my legs. I am rating these 2.5 out of 5 stars. If you are really into something unique and sheer or just something to wear under your mundane working attire in lieu of your socks.. try these! :)

Weekly Vibe #23

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

It's the end of the week again! Time really flies and now we're at the 23rd edition of LFFM's Weekly Vibe! This week was pretty fun for me! I spent Saturday with my friends at a nice French Creperie at Entre Nous and a late afternoon putting on uniforms for a shoot!

Here are some photos!

Yes that's me in a 18th Century Red coat!

Throughout being at our German friend's house I was actually wearing Knittex's Sporty Footless tights, there weren't many questions asked about my legwear though, I have known one of my friends for 10 years and there wasn't any awkward moment at all. As you can see in the photo below of me wearing a Lederhosen with my footless tights!

Some dancing in the Lederhosen!

In the hosiery news, UK Tights is having a buy one get one 1/2 price for Cette Brighton Plus Size Tights, offered is till 21st April 2013!

Do take note that they are sheer tights and not opaque ones, I guess it's pretty obvious as you can see from the photo.

I am in the midst of preparing to post up reviews for Knittex's Smart Tights and Gatta's 100 den Rosalia Tights. They will most likely be up during the coming week!

Thanks for the support and for reading!

In Focus: Knittex Sporty 100den Opaque Footless Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we are going to take a deeper look at Knittex's Sporty 100 den Opaque Footless Tights! Knittex is a Polish hosiery brand that has kindly sent me 2 sample pairs of their men's hosiery Sporty & Smart for review and truly I feel really privileged to be probably the first person out of the western hemisphere to review these!

The Sporty footless tights were packaged in a pretty classy way in a rectangular cardboard packaging with the tights wrapped around a card. This happens to be my 3rd time actually trying on Polish Hosiery and I'm really liking them so far! Knittex has categorised these tights as "Meggings" on their website, other than my running footless sports tights, these are my first pair of "Meggings" but I prefer calling them "Leggings" or just "Footless Tights".

The fitting was pretty generous in terms of space in the tights, sheer to toe with no control top, a big gusset that acts a male comfort panel. They seem to be flat seamed as well. Putting them on was pretty easy as they were footless so putting them was like between wearing pants and pantyhose. The finish on these footless tights are leaning more to flat as it doesn't give much of a shine. These tights though made with polyamide or nylon felt quite like cotton to me probably due to the fact that they are 100 denier. These footless tights provide very good heat insulation as the production description on Knittex puts on these. One thing that I really liked about these footless tights were that they could stay up pretty well the entire day! I don't remember having to pull them up from time to time and the fit was really good even though there weren't any Lycra 3D in it. And another good point for these are that you can actually choose to wear these without any undergarment as the gusset itself provides for male hygiene needs.

The opacity was pretty uniformed when standing up, with bent knees you can see on the photo above show a little bit of skin much like 60 den opacity look when it is stretched. These are pretty well made even though it is inexpensive.

Long sleeved top: H&M  Shorts: HUSH PUPPIES  Shoes: TOPMAN  Glasses: H&M  Legwear: KNITTEX   Bag: ZINC   Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

Price: 14.76 Polish Zlotys which equates to about US$4.71 or GBP 3.01

Material Content : 88% Polyamide & 12% Elastane

Sizes:  (See image below)

Colours: Nero

Pros: Provides good warmth, Inexpensive, generous in size, comfortable & can stay up all day without have the need to pull them up.

Cons: Don't recommend those who are new to hosiery to try them yet as they aren't very easy to put on but with practice and experience it becomes easier & fabric easily gets caught and can cause a slight fabric run on them(I have a caused a little run to the gusset already)hence I recommend wearing gloves to put them on and make sure your nails or rough finger surfaces don't run on them so you can prolong its lifespan(this tip applies to all kind of hosiery)

In conclusion, for a man who isn't into footless tights, these ones really impressed me and I really recommend  these to people who like footless tights and even to men like me who aren't into footless tights to try these too! I mean they aren't very expensive either so.. why not? I give these footless tights a rating of 3.5 out 5 stars. Once again I would like to thank Knittex for providing me these samples and I look forward to reviewing more of their products!

P.S I hope you don't wear these as a replacement of pants as they really aren't pants at all.

Weekly Vibe #22

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to the 22nd edition of LFFM Weekly Vibe! I had a week that was pretty interesting and sweet! As my employer was away for a vacation for a week, I was assigned on a alternative days of the week to man the retail outlet of my studio in the shopping district of Singapore. I made a few friends who were neighbours there. Anyways we are gonna move there pretty soon so I will be seeing them again!

I tried on one of the Knittex "Smart" tights under my jeans for one of the retail outlet work day, man.. I really liked them! So good that I totally forgot I actually had them on! Anyways I leave the review another day! I was pretty glad that the Knittex samples finally came after about a month, it was really worth the wait!

Sunday was pretty awesome for me as I took some of photos for one of my brothers in Church who has a 2 month old baby and I really enjoyed doing it! Here are some shots of baby Jaime!

Just Arrived: Gatta Rosalia & Florence Opaque tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

I have ordered 3 pairs of tights from Itsocks last week and they just arrived yesterday.

I sadly found out that Itsocks site has already been deactivated and these tights will serve to me as a rememberance to Itsocks for being a great hosiery retailer for men and women. I'm sure for the customers that has purchased from them will also feel the loss. I'm glad at least I helped out to clear whatever stocks Anna has got left. I believe that Anna will be doing well in whatever she will start to do in the future! :)

Special Arrival: Knittex "Smart" & "Sporty"

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Knittex has kindly sent samples of their new male line of hosiery, they have mailed me Smart and Sporty. Smart is a pretty unique one has they have mock socks and mock boxers and Sporty are opaque footless tights.

Something unique in the package was a letter but it was written in Polish and me not being a Pole, I wouldn't understand so I would really hope someone would help me translate the letter! The only word I could make out was "facebook" and "kontakt" which is identical to the German variation of the word "contact".

I will be placing priority first for the reviews on these legwear products. So you will be reading up on them pretty soon!

Weekly Vibe #21

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Firstly I would like to apologise for not updating the weekly vibe on Sunday as I had a evening birthday party to attend, so I thought I would push it to be posted up today.

This week pretty a good one as I only had to work till Thursday as Good Friday was a national holiday. Good Friday up to Easter Sunday is a very special time period for me as a born-again Christian because of what God did by sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of every single humankind, whether it's the big sins, small sins and even the secret sins. I do identify myself as a sinner but I'm cleansed and made righteous by Faith in Jesus Christ, no one is perfect and neither are Christians, in fact that is why we need God and we need to attend Church right? If you do really want to ask me things regarding Jesus and Christianity, please do contact me via the Legwear Fashion For Men FB page here in a private message.

A photo I shot of the Easter Drama production put up by my Church over the weekends

I hope you guys are stocking up on the tights sold on ITSocks as they are going to end the business soon, if you really like Gatta hosiery products, do get them as ITsocks seems to be one of the few businesses that stock them.

Sunday evening was pretty fun but tiring as I was invited to a friend's 21st birthday celebration! I felt pretty happy being invited even though I weren't really close with the birthday girl, nah I didn't wore tights these time because I knew I was gonna be in a very hot environment with barbecue and warm open door environment, I took some photos with my iPad mini, I really like the effects the Snapseed app did with the photos!

That's all for today!

When the remaining of my Gatta tights arrive, I will be doing a review altogether with the two pairs of 100 den Gatta Rosalia tights in black and dark grey.
