Weekly Vibe #143

You might be wondering.. "Wait.. are you doing ballet now? Why do you need convertible ballet tights for?" Hahaha nonono! I'm not doing ballet but as you might know I'm doing Lightsaber combat and I realised that the combat form we use is really pretty intensive and very close to be like dancing, plenty of leg movement however some might still ask "but why do you need the convertible ones?" Well because I got myself individual toe styled shoes which I believe will help me with my agility as I flank my opponents in the duels 

Here is a clip of me having a duel with one of my friends (I'm the one with the red lightsaber)

As you can see we duel for 30 seconds each time, and you can see it's pretty intense, it gets more intensive as you and your opponent gets better at his/her craft. The 30 seconds may seem short but in reality you don't feel how fast time goes until you hear the umpire counting down to zero. It seems a lot of fun indeed however you do get hurt if you are not careful, I got my right pinky hurt pretty bad last Sunday though I had gloves on, and on yesterday, I hit my opponent's right index finger pretty bad unfortunately he didn't wear any gloves... but whew it wasn't a fracture. But yeah martial arts is a painful sport altogether and not for the faint hearted I would say!

Outfit of the Week #99

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #99! This week we feature this outfit! 

This look was featured on Men Wearing Tights Under Shorts part of a German based fashion Label Sadak's Autumn 15/16 collection.

It's always nice to see fashion designers using and if I haven't counted wrongly, so far I have noticed 76 fashion designers who have used hosiery for men as part of a fashion accessory!! And that also more well-known fashion labels such as Givenchy, Issey Miyake, Prada and Agnès B also use it as part for accessory and I don't see how it should men from wearing tights at all. It's even still catching in 2015! I remember a reader @freeman who followed me through Twitter told me this and I totally shared that idea that leggings could very be a trojan horse for men to wear tights! I totally dig that mate!

Anyways back to our model here. I really like the printed design on the T-shirt, somehow it gives a subdued Hawaiian feel, not the usual colourful stuff but a grayscale feel to it, it doesn't give the feel of sunny Hawaii but more of a hipster casual feel. the shorts are interesting too, it seems like one of those really light materials used, interesting use of black coloured sneakers, absolutely a great outfit! 

I'd totally do this, would you?

Weekly Vibe #142

Welcome to Weekly Vibe #142! I had an incredible time last week, we celebrated our 26th anniversary in church and also had the privilege to shoot my ministry leader's 2nd born child at 2 weeks old! I knew him back in 2010 and boy how fast time flies!

Isn't he cute? Well I waited for 3 hours for him to fall asleep but I ended up doing shots of him in a semi-sleeping state.. Hahaha! And yes!! That's my day job if I shoot photos of infant babies! I spend more time waiting than actual photography!

As you might know that I'm into Lightsaber duelling and I wanted to find ways to upgrade my gear for mobility and speed, and I found myself looking at Vibram toes shoes like these..

But I was thinking.. if I were to wear these, I couldn't wear footed tights... unless they had individual toes and so I started looking all over the internet and voila! I found something really lovely..

Enter Toe Sox!

The company's website is based in Germany and with my limited knowledge of German it seems like the products are actually US in origin.

They don't just sell toe socks but toe tights too! Both in sheer and opaque in different colours and shades, compression and even fishnets!

But what made it really interesting were how they presented their hosiery products, well for starters, it isn't like mantyhose.net or tights-for-men.com where you actually see that they are actually marketing for males in general; at first look on Toe Sox homepage, you actually see photos of women modelling for their products, but if you clicked on Nylonstrümpfe(which is nylon tights/pantyhose) you are greeted with legs of men!

And ironically the only pair of female legs or body you see are for the Compression tights and if you actually looked into that link, you'd find other thumbnail picks with a men's feet in them in casual footwear! 

It appears that Toe Sox are actually marketing for both men and women! I mean Wow! And of course I took the liberty to contact them through email and I'm waiting for a response.. I mean woot!!! It's so cool! I'm glad my toe tights troubles have been solved!

Trasparenze fans would be really happy as UK Tights have started selling their newest line of Autumn collection! 

There are altogether 35 new styles that include tights, stockings, and for the younger ones.

This look is increasingly getting popular in the streets! Instead of plain black leggings, patterned leggings are seen now! I believe this is a good outfit that our friends can pull off, I'm a little neutral about the red shoes, I think they look fine and I really like the high cut feature! Personally I really like the pattern of the leggings, but knowing that it's cotton kinda puts me off, I'd personally prefer nylon because I feel that nylon is better for my legs to breathe.
