Weekly Vibe #16

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

This week has got to be the best week yet!!! I really had a great time this week, firstly my colleagues at work gave me a surprise birthday cake!! Wow!! (Anyways my birthday is on the 27th of February) I also had a birthday dinner at a Japanese Ramen restaurant and later a Gelato dessert treat on Saturday. My mum gave me a hundred dollars as a present! And my cellgroup also celebrated my birthday on Sunday and also today was the day the Vertical Challenge was gonna be held and I took about 10 mins to scale up a 40 storey high housing estate! No easy feat I must say!!! But the biggest highlight has got to be me winning the 1st prize in the Lucky Draw and what I got was a brand new iPad mini!!!! Thank You Jesus!!! :) What an awesome birthday present from God!! :)

I'm the happy guy! Birthday Celebration with my cellgroup!

Interestingly as I was climbing the 40 storey building, I was proudly wearing my Activskin A866 full support tights!! Oh and did I say was presented the iPad Mini by the Singapore Defence Minister? Cool stuff they do for lucky draws! And so yeah my legs were in full view of everyone including a Minister!! How cool is that!? As for hosiery news, I recently placed an order on a pair of tights from ITSOCKS by Gatta. I can see myself ordering from ITSOCKS pretty often, I would like to try one of the hosiery products +Eugene Wong  has up for sale in his hosiery boutique.

That's all for this week!

New Tights Order: February 2013

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

I have recently ordered a pair of Gatta Rosalia 100 den tights from ITSOCKS.

It is my first time ordering from ITSOCKS and boy these pair of tights were priced at just 3.99GBP! I was looking out for a normal but good pair opaque black tights to match with my own clothes, as you know I have many different coloured pairs but not many plain black ones except for the A866 but that pair has full support and I would  just want to let my legs not feel too compressed all the time. These tights have very good reviews from other hosiery related blogs and I would love to review these myself when they arrive!

Gatta is a brand name of Polish tights manufacturer Ferax and they have been in business since 1993 and they are the leaders of the hosiery market in Central and Eastern Europe. They offer fashionable and high quality hosiery for men, women and children.

Weekly Vibe #15

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome once again to LFFM's 15th Weekly Vibe! This week was pretty exciting! As you all know that it was Valentine's Day on the 14th! But unfortunately for me.. my date was with my tanks in World of Tanks.. anyways it was my sister's birthday too! This week also saw me having a slight after Lunar New Year blues, I felt like I was dragging myself to work but thank God that I was able to go through the remaining 3 days of work without too much trouble. Friday I had a belated Lunar New Year Reunion Dinner with my cellgroup and boy we had a great spread of food and fun!

This weekend saw me seeing off a good friend and a fellow photographer in church to Australia and I spent as much time as I could with him before he left for Singapore for good. We had a lot of fun for the past year and here are some photos I have shot during the last 2 days of his time in Singapore. Will miss you bro!

I also collected my race kit for a vertical challenge.. that is to climb staircases and the kit looks really good!

I also had dinner with my family celebrating my sister's birthday at Chums Steakhouse! I really enjoyed the fun we had together as a family! :)

Oh and of course in the Legwear news UK Tights is actually offering a 25% off OroBLU Couture products! They have stocked up sizes up to XL and even Maxi for some of the products. For more info visit this link

In Focus: Sarah Borghi Line 50 den Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Here is the highly anticipated Sarah Borghi's Line 50 Den tights review!

I ordered this pair of tights from Newlook awhile ago in mid January and they arrive promptly due to the fact that the vendor is also located in Singapore. These were packed in a traditional hard paper envelope and had a little of a nice scent to it as well. When I let loose the legs of the hose, I realised that these seem pretty short. Compared to the sizing of this Sarah Borghi tights and the Charnos tights, it should technically fit a person 1.85m or 6"0 which I am actually 1.75m I didn't consider much of the weight category in the size chart due to the fact that I don't really have very big broad legs.

When I hung them up for drying after washing, my mum actually commented to me saying that these tights seem pretty sheer which I didn't thought they were until I actually put them on and boy did I realise these were actually semi-sheer! Putting them on wasn't really that difficult but compared to wearing the Charnos 80 denier, it was pretty much a world apart in comfort. The Line 50 den tights actually felt a wee bit rough against my legs. The material coverage was pretty even. but these were just too sheer for me which I believe the reason being that these were kinda short. When I wore it out I actually wore one of my Activskin opaque black ribbed tights under and wore the Line 50 den tights layered on the top and boy did I feel the warmth! A little too uncomfortable for me actually. I will probably get a similar denier pair of tights just for wearing with these Line 50 den tights. You could see semi-sheer-ness of the tights in these photos:

Close up of the top area reaching to the waist band

As some women know that it isn't easy the easiest thing to keep the backseam straight, it is the same with wearing the Line 50 den tights, in fact when I tried layering these tights, the lines looked pretty crooked and didn't look the best due to the fact that there wasn't much of a glide in these.

Line 50 den tights layered
I matched these pair of tights with a line patterned shirt:

Shirt : SLENO GOLD Cargo Shorts: UNIQLO  High-cut Shoes: ANDROID HOMME  Glasses: H&M  Legwear: Sarah Borghi Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

Here are more close up photos:

Price: GBP 7.11  or USD$11.22

Material content: 90% Nylon 10% Elastane

Sizes offered: L to XL (These are the sizes available in Newlook)

Colours: Line (Light grey with white line pattern)

Pros: Keeps legs warm, Cotton gusset, waistband doesn't roll, Flat seamed & decent pricing.

Cons: It isn't as opaque as how it looks on the product packaging, keeping the line patterns straight isn't the easiest thing, feels a wee bit rough, not the most comfortable pair.

Overall I felt the Line 50 den tights were okay but I would most likely not be wearing them too often, due to the fact that I would most likely have to wear another pair under these and also having to keep the lines straight. I would rate these pair 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Weekly Vibe #13

Hi Creative and Fashionable Individuals!

Welcome to the 13th edition of LFFM Weekly Vibe! I spent most of the week working as usual having to work on a Saturday as well. I enjoyed my Saturday evening till late night with my World of Tanks clan mates and friends over games, food and laughs! That was probably the only thing I really looked forward to! Also today I went out shopping for my clothes as Lunar New Year is really round the corner, it's pretty much a custom to buy new clothes as to usher into the New Year in the Lunar Calendar. I bought a pair high-cut shoes from and they were really nice and priced on the lower end too!

These shoes are by Android Homme and they have made many shoes in various different fabrics, some are made with shiny leather, canvas & denim.

I also bought clothes from UNIQLO and H&M, got a nice foldable cargo shorts and flannel red tartan patterned shirt from UNIQLO and a Tiger printed long sleeved top and a pair of straight cut jeans from H&M. And yes!! I went out shopping wearing legwear of course!! I had on my camouflaged patterned tights from ActivSkin! And just as usual as it gets.. nothing eventful at all.. Hahaha!

I would like to recommend you readers another blog by a female Swedish hoisery blogger Lillstrumpa and her blog Nylon to the bone

Lillstrumpa blogs on various hosiery styles, ranging from thigh hi hold-ups, pantyhose and fully fashioned tights. She does very detailed write-ups but do take note that they are written in Swedish.. but thanks to a google translate gadget she has in her blog you can actually translate her blog to a language you can comprehend! :)

That's all for this week! I look forward to writing again soon!
