Outfit of the Week #133

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #133 and this week we will be looking at this outfit!

An outfit by JORGE B. on Lookbook

Interesting use of colour here! Yellow and Black are always a great combination to outfits, the inner wear of the model are pretty conservative with black coloured top and bottoms, black opaque tights, interesting looking glasses and a nice yellow coat, he does spot really interesting looking shoes!

You can see all the pictures on his blog site and he is definitely sporting full length tights, not leggings! Big thumbs up to him!

What do you think? I totally like it!

Outfit of the Week #132

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #132! And this week we will be looking at this outfit!

Photo via Pantyhose Doctor on Flickr

Looks like a slightly cooler day here in this picture, one can see even a toque being worn by the guy on the left side of the photo, I like how the guy on the right actually finds a practical way of wearing tights in this cold weather, interesting use of the knitted head band giving that really hippy Jamaican style, overall the colour of his outfit falls under the category of "practical" if not "hippy". Personally I think if he was wearing footed tights, I'd reckon he do without the colourful socks but I suppose he was probably really cold... but he could still do with black socks I think.

Outfit of the Week #131

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #131! This week we are looking at a really kickass look!

This is one sharp look! Some of the peeps tell me that some of the outfits I have suggested aren't suitable as they wished they were 2 decades younger but I present you to you this! I really like his sweater, nice black leather accents and striped patterns at the ends, sharp looking grey high collared sweater, black knee length shorts, black leggings and black worn out style leather boots. This one is for you veterans in life! :)

Outfit of the Week #130

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #130! This week we will be looking at something a little different!

Realistic Tattoo hosiery!

Photos belong to Twitter user @Geelynn Tattoo

I have only just featured these Stop and Stare Designs Co tattoo tights on the latest Weekly Vibe and one of it's customer's Geelynn Tattoo replied to the Twitter post and showed a picture of himself having the Fish and Flower design on! First thing that came to my mind was.. "Cool!! Another guy who wears tights!!" and the next moment was.. "Oh my gosh I want these tights too now!" I need to get back to doing photos again!" and the kind of clothes Geelynn Tattoo does are really your typical guy clothes, not over the top super fashionable outfits and they look good too! He seems to have just started writing and you check out his Tumblr page.

Tattoo tights, what do you think? I'd totally do it!

Outfit of the Week #129

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #129! Sorry for the late post as I just fixed my computer's GFX card.. man Alienware really has cooling issues.. :X Anyways this week we are looking at this!

Source : Pinterest

Great casual looking outfit I must say! Red and Black striped collared T-shirt, capri length jeans, black messenger bag, grey canvas shoes and tights.. in fact actually the colour from afar looks sort of like brown opaques but if you ask me.. I'd say he was wearing 2 pairs of tights, red opaques and black sheers combined hence you get that unique colour actually you guys could experiment with that and it looks pretty cool and I think I should experiment on that too!

Outfit of the Week #128

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #128 and this week we are looking at this!

Once again we are drawing inspiration from Cy Choi of S.Korea!

Interesting patterns on his shirt, not sure what is going on the chest patterns but looks interesting, his capri length pants with side patterns, black opaque tights and leather shoes. The colour effect combination is nice, I like having the white part in the middle and black on the sides, what I'm going for here is that long sleeved shirts coupled with capri length pants seems quite feasible as an outfit with tights, in fact actually you know what would be interesting in this ensemble? White opaque tights but I will just respect the fashion designer's choice as he has his reasons why he chose that colour however some imagination and other modifications won't hurt! :) I do find it generally nice!

Outfit of the Week #128

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #128! And this week we will be looking at this outfit!

A design by Cy Choi

This week we once again look to Cy Choi and wow! Check it out! The black sweater with leather accents, gold zip, black shorts with black leather hems, black opaques tights and white sneakers. This outfit is simple and really cool, not too fanciful and too colourful as you can see here. I can't find any reason not to like this outfit! Can you?

Outfit of the Week #127

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #127! And this week we will be looking at this outfit!

Source: Cy Choi

This outfit was designed by Cy Choi and featured in Cy Choi SS 15, at first glance one can see the interesting use of using orange as to stand out from the outfit, an orange armband, orange leg stripes on the shorts, white jacket, white sweater pull over with a greyscale pattern and a white shirt as base layer, coupled with black opaques tights(apparently footed) and black sneakers. Other minor details are the piercings and his finger accessory. In fact if you actually looked into Cy Choi's SS 15 collection you'd find 90% of his outfits had models wearing black tights and the outfits are amazing cool too! I really like what Cy Choi has and it's quite in line with what I usually do myself.

Outfit of the Week #126

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #126! This week we will be looking at this outfit!

An outfit by Seo Byungmun

Reading about Seo Byungmun, you would find a description that describes:

"Seo Byungmun is a visually provocative menswear ready-to-wear line. It's display an unconventional construction that often plays with creative pattern."

And rightfully so, if you have checked out Seo's other line of threads you would see very evidently why it's described so. Some designs are Avant-garde and some can be for daily use.

In the outfit featured here you can see many of this unconventional elements here, a glowy blurred digitised colour pattern long-sleeved top, an unconventionally patterned and material made shorts with some reflective material and likely to be a stiff material looking at how straight it is, the coat in the 2nd photo features a PVC like trenchcoat length zip-up sweater in a unique light stone blue. The legs complimented with black cotton-look tights and a neat looking front zip up high cut leather sneakers.

Nice look altogether, good way to try different shades of blue and with some glitter as well. What do you think?

Outfit of the Week #125

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #125! This week we will be looking at this outfit!

This outfit was featured by Perry Ellis' New York Spring Summer 2016

Nice to see that in the US, Fashion designers are pulling this look too not just in Asia and Europe! For starters I really like the knitwear, well I've always liked the look of knitwear but it's kinda hard to wear them here in Singapore as it's just way too warm for it. The cream coloured shorts are decent, the loose fitting black leggings gave it a somewhat casual feel and the lace up leather shoes are pretty spiffy too. Overall this outfit is on the smart casual meter making it suitable for a normal chilly day. Thumbs up for this! What do you think?

Outfit of the Week #124

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #124! This week we are going golfing with Nike!

Source: Nike

This look is really catching on isn't it? Shorts and tights for men are getting popular! I really like how Nike put this outfit together, remember how in the earlier days men wore physical training T-shirt and just tights? Ughhh! But now we are seeing shorts and tights!

Check out what Golf.com has to say in their video!

She totally hit the point when she said this look would really appeal to the younger crowd and indeed she hit the nail there! It's not hard to see young men sporting the shorts and tights look literally almost everywhere in the world nowadays!

Good to see that this look is getting a lot of attention! Kudos to Nike and Golf.com!

Outfit of the Week #123

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #123! And this week we will be looking at this outfit!

This outfit is part of Nuno Gama's Spring Summer 2016 collection and it isn't the first time he was featured here, we have featured his Autumn Winter collection of 2015 in our Outfit of the Week #116 and #92 Interesting of concept of having opaques in a Spring/Summer outfit when opaques are mostly worn in colder seasons like Autumn and Winter. I applaud the out-of-the-box approach but then again you might think.. wouldn't it be too warm to wear opaque? Well.. I bring you this!

None other than the Pretty Polly 50 Denier Cool Sense Tights where you can order it from UK Tights.

You get both the opaque look and not feel too warm while at it.

Back to the outfit Nuno Gama put together, I like the reds he included in the shorts and shirt, the majority black shade gives an overall mature and masculine feel as well. This outfit is one I like! Thumbs up! What do you think?

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #122! This week we will be looking at this!

A look by Llorenc. M in Lookbook

Awesome outfit lineup by Mr Llorenc.M! Nice combination with the grey sweater and shorts, brown ribbed opaques from Levante and probably leather shoes. I believe this is one look men of all ages can pull! To be honest I think someone should just give our friend here a proper camera.. I really like his outfits he has put up on Lookbook but his camera really doesn't do any justice at all. Anyways this outfit is just plain awesome!! What do you think?

Outfit of the Week #121

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #121! This week we will travel to Japan for this look!

Photo source: MKT's WEAR JP's page

This seems to be a common look to be worn by young Japanese men, in fact if you searched with keywords on Wear.jp  like "Tights" and "Leggings" you actually yield hundreds of results!! His has a nice outfit, nice jacket there and shorts, good choice on those grey felt leggings, I'm pretty sure it's still pretty cold right now in Japan since this photo was up on January. The entire colour ensemble here is safe for men wanting to try out legwear as an accessory.

Outfit of the Week #120

Hi Creative and Fashionable peeps!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #120! This week we are looking at a sports celebrity from the US!

This was shared a few weeks back at the LAUF forum about the American Football player Cam Newton who just recently made the spot of being the most valuable NFL's Most Valuable Player, okay perhaps this outfit line up might not be the best, cut out pants, socks plus recovery stockings as he claimed them to be(perhaps might have been Activskin tights!) the sweaters, I'm seeing a lot of brands here however my biggest point here really isn't about his outfit it's more about him being not just a sports celebrity alone but using his influence to be a hero for some, he would give touchdown balls to children by the stands, visit young sick patients at the hospital and he probably the most fashionable MVP in NFL, check out some of his threads!

Photo sources: Charlotte Observer

I truly feel that in order for hosiery style for men to succeed or become more mainstream is for more male celebrities to start wearing them as well(no not while doing a comical cross gender roles) because who knows? The children inspired by Newton here could very well wear what their idol wears for training and whatever he wears! You can read more about his recovery stockings stories Charlotte Observer and Star Pulse.

Outfit of the Week #119

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #119! This week we will be looking at this unique outfit!

Shared via Men Wearing Tights Under Shorts

This outfit is featured by the Fashion label INKNI for an event in 2015. What really intrigued me the most isn't his clothing in general, YES.. It's the tights with holes around them! The shirt is really nice and the jacket seems kind okay I feel. The shorts are fine, the shoes are quite... meh I'd say... however I find the tights to be pretty interesting and I believe it should be able to work out well.

What do you think? Hole patterned tights... would you? I know I might.

Outfit of the Week #118

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #118! And this week we will be looking at the outfit!

Source: MIP Taobao catalogue

Although I am not totally sure where this picture truly came from, I think this outfit is pretty "cute" well like geeky cute like how some girls would put it, dark coloured patterned bow, checkered red shirt, brown shorts with striped suspenders, white loafers and brown opaque tights. My overall opinion on this combination is okay, Personally I would have gone, black or dark coloured shirt, white/black shorts, black tights, white coloured suspenders. Regardless I think it's great that our model here is wearing tights!

Outfit of the Week #117

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we will be featuring this outfit!

Most of people of the Chinese world know him as a famous Taiwanese celebrity known as Show Luo or Luo Zixiang and it's always nice to have a famous celebrity to endorse the men's legwear fashion trend.. because if that's any way to get guys to wear them tights it's to get the celebrities to wear them too and we need more celebrities to do it! Anyways down to what he is wearing, Nice colour combination on his upper body; off white jacket with nice pattern inners and collar, black and white patterned tops, grey shorts, red sidelined tights and his really cool silver high cut sneakers! I totally dig those jacket he has got on and of course the shoes!!

Outfit of the Week #116

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #116 and this week we will be featuring this outfit!

Collection by Nuno Gama 2015

Awesome outfit combination by Nuno Gama! I really like Nuno Gama's tops and outerwear, I like the somewhat classic Roman Catholic style of prints and patterns he has, really nice simple looking outfit here, white patterned long sleeved top, black shorts and black opaques with wine red colour sneakers, I like the white shoe laces that really bring out a contrast along the legs region. I think this is a great look some of the more mature males can do! What do you think?

Special Outfit of the Week feature: Mitch #January 2016

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to a Special Outfit of the Week post! Many of you might have read about me talking about a special representative for Legwear Fashion For Men and today we finally got the feature and this time we feature a possible long term partner, Mitch on the plate!

We are also looking at reviewing the special Non-No Water/Wind Resistant 80 Denier Opaque Tights from Taiwan.

Both Mitch and I have worn and will be giving our opinions on these tights.

It is actually the very first pair of tights Mitch owns and to be honest I feel these are really a great pair of tights. According to him these tights feels soft and silky, great plus points are that they are comfortable and warm coupled with the pros that it's water and wind resistant which makes it great for colder climates. However he finds them a little warm for a warm climate like Singapore, asking him if he would wear them often, he said yes and if it would recommend the readers.. yes he would! In conclusion he rated them 4 out of 5 stars.

Water Resistant properties

Model: Mitch. K, Photographer: A. Lucius

Now from my personal take on these tights, these tights also feature some support on the knee area, great features I felt are that they really really stretch well and totally no problems fitting me, I also like the fact that though these tights are pretty cheap they also feature a nice gusset comparable to that you see in Charnos 60 denier opaque tights, the water resistant fibres are a German engineered feature by Bionic Finish. The opaque coverage is awesome and very uniform as you can see from Mitch's legs, as described on the cover, it is 80 denier with 110 denier kind of coverage on the legs.

They really stretchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Not much is written about fabric composition on these tights, however it is clear that spandex is most likely present in these tights, cons for these tights I would say are that so far I am only able procure them from Taiwan by being there and possibly asking a friend who is visiting there to get me a pair.. however I did source that Taobao was selling them in 6 pairs at 265 RMB which is about US$40 which is pretty expensive and that still excludes shipping overseas and I actually bought this from a lifestyle store in Taiwan for about USD$4 a pair, can you imagine USD$4 for such great quality tights? It's insane!

These tights come in 3 colours, black, dark grey and navy blue and come in 2 sizes Normal (Fits up to waist 85cm - 110cm, height 150cm - 180cm) and M-LL (Fits up to waist 90cm -115cm, height 155cm - 185cm)

In conclusion, I would say.. go buy an air ticket to Taiwan take an nice tour to Taiwan(it's really a very beautiful country with very nice food, polite people and nice pretty women you see in tights 90% of the time)and if you are a fan of black opaque tights like me, get a pair and try them and if you like them, get dozens of them and while you're at it get me some as well!

P.S Thanks Mitch!
