Welcome to Outfit of the Week #99! This week we feature this outfit! 

This look was featured on Men Wearing Tights Under Shorts part of a German based fashion Label Sadak's Autumn 15/16 collection.

It's always nice to see fashion designers using and if I haven't counted wrongly, so far I have noticed 76 fashion designers who have used hosiery for men as part of a fashion accessory!! And that also more well-known fashion labels such as Givenchy, Issey Miyake, Prada and Agnès B also use it as part for accessory and I don't see how it should men from wearing tights at all. It's even still catching in 2015! I remember a reader @freeman who followed me through Twitter told me this and I totally shared that idea that leggings could very be a trojan horse for men to wear tights! I totally dig that mate!

Anyways back to our model here. I really like the printed design on the T-shirt, somehow it gives a subdued Hawaiian feel, not the usual colourful stuff but a grayscale feel to it, it doesn't give the feel of sunny Hawaii but more of a hipster casual feel. the shorts are interesting too, it seems like one of those really light materials used, interesting use of black coloured sneakers, absolutely a great outfit! 

I'd totally do this, would you?

This week we have a unique high fashion street look by BILLY H. It seemed at first that he is wearing nothing but expensive brands in fact most are affordable threads all but his shoes which is from Givenchy. I just want to emphasize that we do not need to buy really expensive clothes/shoes/accessories to look good. It is all about mixing and matching the right colours and the right accessories, even our hairstyle would make a difference!

Outfit of the Week #10

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to this week's OOTW! And today's OOTW is this! 

This look was done up by Givenchy which most of you might have seen their Autumn/Winter collections that feature many male models strutting their legwear on the runway. And yes since it's winter season it is only right to keep not just your body warm.. but your legs warm too! This look is really very simple but cool! It gives a really cool street/B-Boy look for the younger men out there, the baseball cap and the high cut sneakers. And what mostly stands out in the outfit is really the print of the shirt, the legwear as its black doesn't really scream out loud for men out there but for the trained eye and yes.. the women will definitely notice them but hey as far I noticed most women I can tell you are totally fine with men wearing tights as long as they look good in them. Many would say "Why not?" though some might giggle or chuckle but it's something I'm sure they could live with but it's the mostly the men that would act really "alpha" and go like.. "Oh nahhh I'm a really manly guy, I don't need to wear these tights to keep warm!" Yeah sure.. mate you can carry on shivering and pretending not to feel cold there. :P

Outfit of the Week #7

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

This week's OOTW is this! 

This look was done up by Givenchy, photo by Dr Jay's site. 

Well you probably might think... hmm isn't this guy wear a kilt or a skirt? Well maybe? or a pair of shorts that are made to look like a skirt? Maybe? Well it isn't really my point, I mean look at the blacks but I feel other than the jacket, what really stands out are yes.. the shiny gliding look tights he has got on. The look is perfectly fine except personally I felt that the footwear is a little off.. I mean sandals? I can understand that fashion designers design things in a manner of like how a concept car would be so I could try to place myself in the shoes of Givenchy's designer. I personally really liked the jacket he has on, the high collar made it look that extra cool!

Recently on LAUF a French gentleman has graciously complimented Legwear Fashion For Men blog and himself also posted a link to his tumblr page Men Wearing Tights With Shorts.

At first look one could notice runway photos of Selim de Somavilla models in tights! I have featured Selim de Somavilla in a previous post here. I saw videos on Youtube on Givenchy's Fall/Winter 2011 / 2012 / 2013 for men and I was really intrigued that they actually used what it looks like to be tights!!

I have checked out Givenchy's website www.Givenchy.com and according to the descriptions for some of the outfits from the Fall/Winter 2012 that they actually used Jersey Leggings and "wool socks"(see the Pre Collection page and you will know they aren't just wool socks) I have found a link from Luisaviaroma(www.luisaviaroma.com) that sells popular fashionable brands from Givenchy, Emilio Cavallini, Yves Saint-Laurent and etc. I'm really glad seeing that many popular fashion designers are looking at incorporating tights into their designs!
