Weekly Vibe #90

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Wow it's already the 90th Weekly Vibe I actually can't believe that we went through 90 Weekly Vibe posts together! Time really flies and it's already August! 

I recently found myself really interested in WWII era Soviet militaria and kitted up with an NKVD outfit based on the 10th NKVD Rifle Division of Stalingrad. As you know I'm quite a WWII history geek, after having Nazi German and Imperial Japanese outfits, I'd thought I get myself a Soviet one too here are some photos!

Hahahaha! I can't resist laughing at this shot I did!

Okay enough with the kiddy stuff above, now for what we actually do in this blog! Wolford has recently released their new styles for this year's Autumn - Winter collection. UK Tights and TightsTightsTights has recently started stocking up these new styles!

Nope it isn't.. it's actually a guy and am I featuring a style of crossdressing well I'd say it's androgynous, I felt that I should feature this in a recognition for the guys who literally brave the storms of mainstream wear to do something like this. You'd probably find this kind of outfit on the fashion runways. I am not telling you to try this kind of outfit because this is a really "out of comfort zone" for most guys, I probably would try this once..and that's about it.

Welcome to the 45th edition of Outfit of the week! This week we are featuring this!

A look by Lookbooker Phillip M. 

This is a look by Philip M. if you actually looked at his page, he does have a taste of fashion that is not mainstream, well I'm personally not a very mainstream in my what wear and think too. Anyways Philip here dons a black bomber jacket, light blue top, checkered scarf, black shorts, grey leggings, black boots, and a pair of black shades. Actually if you really look it, take away the bomber jacket and scarf, what you have is just the top and shorts which is really nothing much which tells us what just what a jacket and scarf could change an entire outfit! The leggings he had on was rather "Meh" for my side, I'd rather he wore a pair of Argyle patterned tights and that would have matched better, what do you think?

Lastly I would on a sad note I would like to pay a tribute to victims and their families of the Malaysian Airlines MH 17 that was downed in South East Ukraine on the 18th July, I hope that investigations would yield results as soon as possible for the families to find closure. My prayers for them..

Welcome to the 44th edition of Outfit of the Week! This week we are featuring an article on NYmag.com as shared by Dougaa on Lauf forums. 

It was titled "Tights Are Coming Soon To Men's Legs Near You" written by Leah Rodriguez, this article was very optimistic and in favour of men sporting tights(or leggings) as part of their clothing choice, as mentioned by the author, it is very common to see athletic tights paired with shorts in athletic clothing styles but a small number of men are starting or have already started wearing tights under their shorts whilst not going for a workout. 

As you can see below, NBA player Russell Westbrook sporting a pair of leggings by Barneys and Jordan going at $165 a pair..

The article also featured other fashion designers with their outfits with leggings/tights, though it looks a little too outlandish for your everyday wear but these designs help people to think bigger and have their own styles, here are some photos from the slideshow:

Lastly I would actually like to give my condolences to the family of victims of South East Ukrainians(recently a Russian family in Rostov on don) and in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I wish and pray for the hostilities to end soon and investigations to such atrocious actions to be undertaken. Tens of thousands of people have lost their children, parents and are homeless with no future to look forward and most of the people will psychologically scarred all their lives...

Personally as a baby photographer it really pains me to see the children as victims of collateral damage as most of you parents here would understand too...
