Great casual looking outfit I must say! Red and Black striped collared T-shirt, capri length jeans, black messenger bag, grey canvas shoes and tights.. in fact actually the colour from afar looks sort of like brown opaques but if you ask me.. I'd say he was wearing 2 pairs of tights, red opaques and black sheers combined hence you get that unique colour actually you guys could experiment with that and it looks pretty cool and I think I should experiment on that too!

Outfit of the Week #128

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #128 and this week we are looking at this!

Once again we are drawing inspiration from Cy Choi of S.Korea!

Interesting patterns on his shirt, not sure what is going on the chest patterns but looks interesting, his capri length pants with side patterns, black opaque tights and leather shoes. The colour effect combination is nice, I like having the white part in the middle and black on the sides, what I'm going for here is that long sleeved shirts coupled with capri length pants seems quite feasible as an outfit with tights, in fact actually you know what would be interesting in this ensemble? White opaque tights but I will just respect the fashion designer's choice as he has his reasons why he chose that colour however some imagination and other modifications won't hurt! :) I do find it generally nice!

Nice to see that in the US, Fashion designers are pulling this look too not just in Asia and Europe! For starters I really like the knitwear, well I've always liked the look of knitwear but it's kinda hard to wear them here in Singapore as it's just way too warm for it. The cream coloured shorts are decent, the loose fitting black leggings gave it a somewhat casual feel and the lace up leather shoes are pretty spiffy too. Overall this outfit is on the smart casual meter making it suitable for a normal chilly day. Thumbs up for this! What do you think?

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #114! This week we are featuring one more outfit I wore while I was in holiday in Taiwan!

I initially was quite hesitant to wear these Emilio Cavallini Spiral Striped Tights but I was thinking meh.. Why not!? And turns out that it looks pretty nice! I was wearing black T-shirt, paired with a double breasted jacket and a pair of drop crotch pants(rolled up)

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #111! This week we are featuring this outfit!

Titled "Winter" by Martan, this outfit is truly suited for this winter season, albeit depending on how cold your winter is, I could even suggest putting on pair of gloves or perhaps a coat over the blazer. I really like the colour combination of Martan's jacket and shorts, the black wool turtleneck sweater just really nailed it nicely along with the black opaque tights he got on, the shoes give the outfit a little glitz, you could of course opt to have not so blingy shoes but have perhaps brown leather shoes or black leather ones I think they look great either way! I think even having red blazer and red shorts are great too!

Nice outfit by done by a fashion designer whom I got no idea did this.. :( but hey it is still great inspiration! From what I can deconstruct is that wearing a striped shirt with a dark blue or black vest with white outlines and with a semi blazer sweater outerwear with same white outlines with possibly a black scarf, capri length pants, striped tights/striped over knee socks with black leather shoes. 

I like this look altogether, it's pretty nice looks very reminiscent of the 18th century men's fashion style. I believe this is a great look that many guys can pull off! If Singapore isn't like summer all year round, I'd totally do this! Would you? What do you think?

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #105! And this week we will be looking at this outfit!

This is a really cool outfit however I really have no idea which fashion designer did this piece and this isn't the only outfit paired with black opaque tights and I thought that black opaque tights were out of fashion for men but nope it seems like it is here to stay!(I hope!) The model spots a very cute smiley on his T-shirt and a very interesting styled grey blazer with what it seems like leather fittings in the hands area and the shoulders. Interesting combo with the black shorts and black opaques with maroon coloured leather sneakers. This outfit doesn't require too much of an extra cash to buy from flashy fashion labels. Actually looking at some of the other photos, I felt that pairing up leather shorts (as shown in the bottom photo) with this outfit would look pretty good too!

I should get myself a proper fitting blazer!

This is one very casual yet a safe outfit to wear, I'm liking the clean looking white shoes, very nice black and white combination going on there! The black opaques I feel really completes the look there! This is a great daily casual outfit to wear! Depending on where you get them, And it seems like everything on our model wouldn't set you aside too much cash and I think it's pretty affordable as well! I believe this outfit is also a good start for men wanting to try out tights with shorts! I don't see why not!

I'm like totally on for this outfit, what do you guys think?

Here we are looking at a similar formal style we featured last week of Kevin-Prince Boateng. Indeed the blazer the model is wearing is really stylish, probably something you wouldn't find at your nearest boutique, the shirt, capri length pants and opaque tights aren't too uncommon to find and woot check out his SHOES!!! Oh my gosh! It's so cool! RAD colour combination there! Overall I don't think this outfit is odd but I believe pretty formal looking if not gives the creative celebrity feel like Kevin-Prince Boateng in his outfits with shorter pants and tights. 

What do you think? I'd would try this someday when the event arises!

Legwear Fashion For Men has successfully completed an interview with a hosiery blogger Jessica of Fantasy Stockings. Enjoy the read!

1) Can you provide the readers at Legwear Fashion For Men with some background information about yourself and your blog fantasystockings.com?

Sure, let me introduce myself. I currently live in Canada, in the beautiful city of Vancouver that is located on the coast of the Pacific ocean. When I was younger, I did some fashion modeling in Toronto. Those years past, but my interest in fashion remained.

I never thought I’d be a blogger. I was thinking of starting an online store 2 years ago and registered a domain name. I decided not to proceed with the idea at the time, but my domain name was already registered. That’s how I decided to put up some information there about my love for hosiery and little by little it turned into a hosiery blog.

2) There are many women out there that don't really like hosiery too much, what is it that makes you love hosiery?

I grew up with it. Since a very young age my mom would tell me to wear it with skirts and she would never get mad if my pantyhose would get ruined. She always had a full bag of spare pairs in different colours and that’s still the case today. To me it was a necessary garment to have, just like socks.

During my teen years I realized that it makes my legs look really nice, so I would always wear it if I would want to look pretty. A lot of times I would get compliments from both males and females about my look.

When I grew up, professional appearance became a priority. Even if a woman is on a tight budget, she could add a sleek pair of pantyhose to a simple outfit and look so much more sophisticated in an instant.

It feels nice to wear, makes me look good, and allows me to continue wearing my favourite skirts even in winter. What would I do without it? I can’t possibly imagine giving it up.

3) One could notice that you have a "boys" button in your blog categories and it opens up to many topics on unisex hosiery and the like, so what do you think about men such as myself who wear hosiery, and not just for health reasons but for a fashion statement (with shorts & shorter pants etc.)?

I haven’t met too many men who wear it for fashion reasons, but turns out that this trend was already in some runway shows. There isn’t any logical reason out there why tights should be for women only. In Eastern Europe up to this very day both boys and girls wear cotton pantyhose when they are little. But when they grow up, men for some reason switch to long johns that usually don’t look attractive at all.



4) Would you be in a relationship with a man who wears hosiery as part of his usual clothing style?

At this point I can only give a hypothetical answer because I passed my dating years a long time ago and back then I wasn’t aware of this trend at all. It probably would depend on how he wears it because I am only attracted to a professional masculine look.

My favourite look for men is a properly fitted business suit with a tie and fancy cuff links during the day. Somehow when a man I know puts on a good business suit, I just can’t stop looking because it makes them look so much better. For casual wear I like to see men in proper fitting dark jeans with a dress shirt or fitted muscle shirt and stylish business casual shoes. I am not a fan of anything that resembles sportswear.

However, most men who wear pantyhose do it because it is something that turns them on in a private sense. In this case, I’d be totally cool with that. If he enjoys the feeling of sheer pantyhose close to his body, I’d be delighted to help him choose the best hosiery out there.

5) How did you find about the Legwear Fashion For Men blog?

I guess that is where the link exchange really does its magic. I follow Hosiery For Men blog and I check out their suggested links. This is how I found you.




6) Are you able recommend any styles that you think men can adopt with hosiery?

Somehow I really like to look at Scottish men who wear traditional kilts. Whenever I see one, I turn around. Skin tone pantyhose under a kilt with traditional white knee socks over it not only would look good, but would make total sense in colder weather. Let’s say that if I would marry a traditional Scott, I wouldn’t let him go outdoors without pantyhose unless it’s summer.

7) Tell us one thing about yourself that you normally wouldn't say?

I am such a chicken when it comes to violence in movies, even though that I realize it’s just special effects... I can’t go to a movie theatre unless I am sitting next to someone with broad shoulders that I can hide behind during a scary scene.



8) Do you have comments to make about Legwear Fashion For Men?

There are some technical points like navigation and overall presentation of the material, but I’d rather not take up your reader’s time discussing this here.

In general I would like to thank you for your courage to promote a fashion trend that is not common and to do it in such an open manner. It may sound trivial, but I really admire the fact that you model your outfits yourself and you don’t crop your head out of the picture. It shows the reader that you are confident and sincere about this.

There is a belief that fashion repeats itself in cycles, so I do not doubt the possibility of men wearing ¾ pants and stockings would again be as common as it was in the regal times.

Just Arrived : Activskin A866 & A839

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

I received the A866 & A839 tights from Activskin on Friday, delivery time was somewhat a few days slower. Which is okay for me..

As I have written before, the A839 is a gift to my mum so I won't be reviewing on them but I asked her to give me a review on them. As for the A866, I will most likely be using them for my outdoor jogs. I will give them a review when I can.

This is my 2nd purchase with Activskin and I'm really enjoying their products! In fact actually the A839 is for my mum! Hence I will not be reviewing the A839 but the A866 and I'm absolutely looking forward to receiving them and trying them on! Stay tuned for the reviews and fashion styles for these tights!

Customisable Tights!

As I was googling for tattooed patterned tights, I found this online store based in Germany named FunnyLegs. Other than selling hosiery typicall for women, they also have section for men and plus size female ones for men. Funnylegs caught the idea that tights are unisex.. WOW! Most interestingly they also feature a "Design your own printed Leggings and Tights" they have 3 different styles of print, one being an "All-over Print", "Textbanner or Logo" and "Wordcloud" The tights are 70 den, 90% Polyamid and 10% Elasthane, prices start at €19.90 for sizes S to L and L/XL are €20.90

In Focus: ADRIAN Grating Tights

Here is my review on ADRIAN's Grating Tights:

I ordered this and the ADRIAN City Tights from Legwear4men back in last month. At first look it is pretty similar to the ADRIAN City Tights as they are both 60 denier. I got an L size for this one. At first look, its waistband looks like what you would find in a Calvin Klein boxer shorts. The first thing I did was to wash them and I hung them dry for the night. At first feel putting them on... it felt just a tiny bit tight which is pretty normal due to the Lycra content. After pulling them up. It feels pretty durable and it feels soft on my legs. The seams were flat and the Argyle pattern goes all the way up ending at the waistband. After wearing it awhile with shorts, these are sheer to waste with reinforced toes. The patterns were stitched on. I pretty almost forgot I had them on as I was out... until I moved my legs as I was standing in public transport. So far, I'm only getting a few looks, well the sort of looks where my legs are the daydreaming point. However after I got home and washed them, I noticed something...the patterns started showing signs of slight fraying. And I noticed that the fraying were only at my thighs where my shorts had coverage on, the patterns that were exposed didn't have any frays(probably caused by constant rubbing as I was walking) I suppose I would be paying more than £9.99 if the patterns weren't stitched on but printed...

Slight fraying can be seen on the gray pattern.

Overall I would say I'm pretty pleased with the ADRIAN Grating Tights, I probably will order the other colour at a larger size.

Vorher Nachher Show & Men's Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

As I was looking around Youtube, I watched a clip from a German TV show titled Vorher Nachher Show(which was probably shot in the 80s or the 90s?) It featured a portion of a man wearing tights! Most interestingly, the guest whom they invited was himself wearing tights under his suit pants! Wow!

Seems like the notion of men wearing tights is something that has been perceived decades ago! Not looking at the renaissance of course! Haha!
