Outfit of the Week #119

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #119! This week we will be looking at this unique outfit!

Shared via Men Wearing Tights Under Shorts

This outfit is featured by the Fashion label INKNI for an event in 2015. What really intrigued me the most isn't his clothing in general, YES.. It's the tights with holes around them! The shirt is really nice and the jacket seems kind okay I feel. The shorts are fine, the shoes are quite... meh I'd say... however I find the tights to be pretty interesting and I believe it should be able to work out well.

What do you think? Hole patterned tights... would you? I know I might.

Outfit of the Week #110

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #110! This week we are featuring this outfit!

Photo source : LegwearGuy on Flickr
I believe this nice outfit belongs to one of our readers Rene Hache(I hope you don't mind mate!) well it's really a very nice outfit, I really like how he used blue to his advantage, blue checkered sweater, black shorts, blue opaque tights and high cut sneakers. I'd totally dig them! In fact actually checking out his Flickr page you'd find very good outfit ideas. Here are some I felt were great!

What do you think?

Outfit of the Week #109

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Outfit of the Week #109! And this week we are going to feature this outfit!

Photo source: Not Just A Label by Inês Duvale

This outfit was featured in Inês Duvale's LA RESISTANCE SS16 collection, I'm finding the colour combination to be something worth trying for personally, I kinda noticed that I don't really wear red except on my gym days but they are just red dri-fit T-shirts and not red pants and shorts in fact actually I think black opaque tights and red shorts do look good too!

What do you think?

Weekly Vibe #126

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Weekly Vibe #126! I hope you guys had a great week! I really enjoyed reading wghat our fellow hosiery blogger friends are doing and I really liked what Legstyle's Christopher did this week, and if you have checked out what he posted, he actually went out camping with his wife in tights! That's so awesome!! Here are some of the photos he posted up!

You rock Chris! And they look really sweet together! And whew glad that he is well and alive after he got stung by a bee!

I always liked what Chris shared recently through a question blog post about women's thoughts on men wearing hosiery and I believe it's really worth reading the comments and if you did you could see a high percentage of women not minding, and really you could see that women don't really mind and not to mention my girlfriend doesn't mind either, in fact it's almost like a non-event thing to her!

Now for our hosiery deal news! Looking for sheers? Tightsplease has great deals 20% off their sheer tights!

They also included new sheer styles from Wolford, Pretty Polly and Falke!

Do check them out!

That's all I have for you!

Weekly Vibe #95

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

This month marks Legwear Fashion For Men's 2nd year anniversary! And just in case you didn't read our anniversary post, we do have a special gift for you in collaboration with Activskin! All you need to do is key in the code LFFM2YEARS 15% off with minimum order of over US$40 and it expires on the 30th of September so don't wait till its too late!

On Sunday me and a couple of my living history friends went for Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention or STGCC cosplaying as a WWII era NKVD officer, my friend an SS Officer and another a German Army Field Police.

Me and my 2 "facist" enemies

Okay before I get the flames of being neo-nazi and stuff, we are not politically motivated but historically motivated. Right after the event we went to catch the latest installment of
Rurouni Kenshin : Kyoto Infernoand boy it was great! I grew up as a teen watching Rurouni Kenshin so it's a total fanboy moment for me watching that movie!

Fashion tights are in the house as it is fashion week in both New York and London!

Try something new! Looking through the collection that UK Tights have to offer in their updated line of Fashion tights, I think these styles will go well with our men!

As for the younger men these Pierre Mantoux Oyster Tights are great with more coloured outfits

For the senior gentlemen I recommend the Tammy Cotton Tights, patterned by very subtle in black with more conservative looking outfits

Of course if there are other fashion tights that appeal to you, go ahead and experiment with them! Anyways that is how fashion functions really!

Have a great coming week ahead!

Special Spotlight: Interview with Rare Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

For today we are having a special feature on Rare Tights, a very unique one of a kind online hosiery retailer that offers unique fashionable styled hosiery products! Let's get on with it!

Hi Sakhi!

Thank you so much for responding to us at Legwear Fashion For Men! I just checked out your online store and it seems like you got a nice collection of legwear products there! And I would like to ask you a few questions!

1)Can you provide the readers at Legwear Fashion For Men with some background information about yourself and your shop Rare Tights?

Hi l am a married mum of two (lovely babies) who loves fashion; raretights was born out of my love for fashion. I have a partnership with someone in China who sources the products for us. In future when we grow we want to expand into hosiery for children, men, & lingerie.

2) What was your inspiration to start Rare Tights?

My inspiration, Wow so many!! I always wear tights and people ask me where l got them from. I like to be the trend setter; getting different things and standing out in the crowd. That's what we want our rare tights to make everyone feel!

3) Oh nice! I love babies too! I happen to have a day job as a baby photographer! It's always nice to have a partnership in business! Anyways I would like to find out, how long have you been running Rare Tights?

Oh what a coincidence; child photographer!! In future we might use you for the photos!

Been running Rare Tights for over 3 years. We started selling on ebay first as a shop Pattymoonlight then we moved on to opening website!

4) What are the general demographics of your customers? Eg. Adult women, young women or men?

Our customers are mainly women; interesting fact is we are UK based but have a lot of interest in USA! We have men too who enter our competitions & Follow us on Twitter & Facebook. We want to grow and be a global brand to satisfy all hosiery needs. Our sourcing partner is working on getting us more variety stock so keep checking us out; you will not be disappointed.

5) Ohh! I don't mind if you flew all over to the UK! Hahaha! It is nice to know that Rare Tights is open to all customers! For years there has been a recent hype on men's hosiery or "Mantyhose" top hosiery fashion designer Emilio Cavallini caught up with it and created a few lines of tights for men, what do you think of hosiery as a fashion or as an everyday apparel for men?

Yes tights for men there is definitely a niche market there! Fashion is taking notice and its no longer shameful for men to wear tights. Men have always worn tights for years and years. The tights were called thermal tights to keep them warm in winter. Nowadays we are seeing hosiery for men; which is a step up! Go fashion.

6) Thanks! That is nice to know Sakhi! Does your husband also sport this form of legwear? Would you encourage him to do so? Oh and are there any suggestions for the guys out there for which kind of products they should go for in your catalog?

Oh no my husband it's only thermals in the winter for him. our hosiery will be probably marketable to men and you can try fishnets too!

7) What do you plan to do for RareTights foreseeable future?

Future sees us having more variety; stocking more unique tights!

Thank you so much Sakhi for agreeing to do this interview with us at Legwear Fashion For Men! We wish all the best in what you do!

Do follow Rare Tights on Twitter @TightsRare and check out their products at their website http://raretights.com/

Outfit of the Week #11

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

This week's Outfit of the Week is this!

This is a look put up together by Fashion Designer Antonio Azzuolo, my first impression of the outfit was it gave me a visually refreshing and cool feeling towards it. It was refreshing because of his sky blue coloured outerwear and white turtleneck top along with his mirror reflective shades. What I really caught my attention wear his gloves, these were the fingerless gloves that you see worn by tactical ops personnel and sometimes race car drivers, well he may not be getting away anywhere soon, but hey it kinda works here I think.. his high cut sneakers kind of blends into his legs but doesn't really do so because of the very obvious opaque black tights. I find some interest in the capri length pants he got on, nice desert brown colour going on there! You guys could try it out this weekend and look refreshing to the people around you!

Outfit of the Week #10

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to this week's OOTW! And today's OOTW is this!

This look was done up by Givenchy which most of you might have seen their Autumn/Winter collections that feature many male models strutting their legwear on the runway. And yes since it's winter season it is only right to keep not just your body warm.. but your legs warm too! This look is really very simple but cool! It gives a really cool street/B-Boy look for the younger men out there, the baseball cap and the high cut sneakers. And what mostly stands out in the outfit is really the print of the shirt, the legwear as its black doesn't really scream out loud for men out there but for the trained eye and yes.. the women will definitely notice them but hey as far I noticed most women I can tell you are totally fine with men wearing tights as long as they look good in them. Many would say "Why not?" though some might giggle or chuckle but it's something I'm sure they could live with but it's the mostly the men that would act really "alpha" and go like.. "Oh nahhh I'm a really manly guy, I don't need to wear these tights to keep warm!" Yeah sure.. mate you can carry on shivering and pretending not to feel cold there. :P

Give this a try this season!

Weekly Vibe #42

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to the 42nd edition of Legwear Fashion For Men's weekly vibe! Well here I am today at work typing this.. well at least just less than 15 mins of work hour left for the day. However working today for me. Was pretty fine but I was kinda disappointed that I couldn't be at church today... Oh well.

Anyways this week was pretty fine for me as after waiting for a month, my FALKE Pure Matt 100 arrived and here I am wearing it at work and blogging in it hahaha!

I recently made an order at Singsale on a pair of shorts with cotton leggings included, these were designed by an Australian Fashion brand Saxony, interestingly these were sold out so quickly I was afraid that I didn't get my order placed!

Here is a screenshot:

Well the sale on this item is already over( as you can see that it's sold out too) but it seems that having shorts and legwear as part of a male outfit is seemingly accepted in a mainstream level now. I really wonder if I do get to see the guys wearing what they ordered out there because it would be really cool!

Many hosiery retailers in the UK are having special offers because it's Bank Holiday!

For Tightsplease offers, click here

For UK Tights offers, click here

That's all I have for you all this week do look forward for something special happening soon! :)

Special Focus: Future Ladder Resist Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we will be looking in depth at Couture's Future Ladder Resist Tights.

These pair of hose were graciously sent by Legwear International and today's feature will be on Couture's Future Ladder Resist Tights. To start off, I have to say that I'm not a very big fan of sheer hosiery, I prefer seeing it on another person's legs as I kinda knew the super extra care I need to have while putting them on and taking them off and I know because of some I have ruined before!

First look

I really like the packaging for these tights, they were packed inside of a big cardboard slip with the clear plastic slip containing the hose.I was given a pair of near black ones by Legwear International. As I took them out, these felt pretty soft and nice to touch. These are 10 denier, had reinforced toes(but you don't see an extra layer of nylon over the toes) and a Panel Gusset for XL, feature a control top and were shape boarded.

Putting them on

I was given an XL for these pair of pantyhose, these felt pretty short on the legs(probably because I got pretty toned up legs)when I put them on and pretty tight, I was quite afraid I would ruin them, it's durability is pretty good but I felt that I have kind of overstretched them.

Closer look to the finish of the legs.

Feel and look

These felt really smooth and soft, these give you a feeling like a second skin and you will forget that you have them on after wearing them over a period of time. The tights don't give off any shine at all and they are really sheer, the most interesting and the most important feature of these tights are that they are ladder resistant tights made with a dynamic bonded yarn technology.

Here is a look I have come out with the Future Ladder Resist Tights.

Double breasted jacket: H&M  Shirt:  Model's own Shorts: THOMAS SMITH  Shoes: NORTH STAR  Eyewear: H&M  Legwear: COUTURE   Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

The following properties such as Comfort, Compression, Durability, Opacity, Shine & Price will be rated by numbers.

Comfort: 4 out of 5 points

Compression: 0 out of 5

Durability: 3 out of 5
points

Opacity: 0 out of 5

Shine: 0 out of 5

Price: 5 out of 5

Price 4.99GBP

Material Content: 68% Nylon, 31% Elastane & 1% Cotton

Sizes:

  •          S = 148-168cm, 81-92cm Hip
  •          M = 152-172cm Height, 94-109cm Hip
  •           L = 168-179cm Height, 109 -124cm Hip
  •         XL = 168-179cm Height, 124 - 140cm Hip

Colours: Black, Near Black, Natural Tan & Nude

Pros: Ladder Resist technology, clings to you like second skin, soft, comfortable, nude colour should be a good "stealth" for men who wants to wear them with shorts, makes a good combination for women who wear hosiery to work as they would last for a good number of wears & easy on the wallet.

Cons: Sizing in terms of height isn't the best, these mostly wouldn't fit men of my stature as these are usually shaped accordingly to women's sizes, it mostly wouldn't fit men and women beyond 1.79cm or 5'10". & extra care has to be taken when putting them on(put on gloves or do some pedicure before putting them on)

To buy them go to this link! (As of now 29th of July 2013 they are currently out of stock)

Conclusion:

Unfortunately these tights didn't fit me too well, anyways I'm on my way getting to a better shape. I'm sure that if did fit me well these would have been really awesome tights to have. These are really suitable I believe for the working women who struggle with horrible quality sheer tights they get from drug stores and supermarkets and I really believe these are for you ladies!

In Focus: Knittex Sporty 100den Opaque Footless Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we are going to take a deeper look at Knittex's Sporty 100 den Opaque Footless Tights! Knittex is a Polish hosiery brand that has kindly sent me 2 sample pairs of their men's hosiery Sporty & Smart for review and truly I feel really privileged to be probably the first person out of the western hemisphere to review these!

The Sporty footless tights were packaged in a pretty classy way in a rectangular cardboard packaging with the tights wrapped around a card. This happens to be my 3rd time actually trying on Polish Hosiery and I'm really liking them so far! Knittex has categorised these tights as "Meggings" on their website, other than my running footless sports tights, these are my first pair of "Meggings" but I prefer calling them "Leggings" or just "Footless Tights".

The fitting was pretty generous in terms of space in the tights, sheer to toe with no control top, a big gusset that acts a male comfort panel. They seem to be flat seamed as well. Putting them on was pretty easy as they were footless so putting them was like between wearing pants and pantyhose. The finish on these footless tights are leaning more to flat as it doesn't give much of a shine. These tights though made with polyamide or nylon felt quite like cotton to me probably due to the fact that they are 100 denier. These footless tights provide very good heat insulation as the production description on Knittex puts on these. One thing that I really liked about these footless tights were that they could stay up pretty well the entire day! I don't remember having to pull them up from time to time and the fit was really good even though there weren't any Lycra 3D in it. And another good point for these are that you can actually choose to wear these without any undergarment as the gusset itself provides for male hygiene needs.

The opacity was pretty uniformed when standing up, with bent knees you can see on the photo above show a little bit of skin much like 60 den opacity look when it is stretched. These are pretty well made even though it is inexpensive.

Long sleeved top: H&M  Shorts: HUSH PUPPIES  Shoes: TOPMAN  Glasses: H&M  Legwear: KNITTEX   Bag: ZINC   Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

Price: 14.76 Polish Zlotys which equates to about US$4.71 or GBP 3.01

Material Content : 88% Polyamide & 12% Elastane

Sizes:  (See image below)

Colours: Nero

Pros: Provides good warmth, Inexpensive, generous in size, comfortable & can stay up all day without have the need to pull them up.

Cons: Don't recommend those who are new to hosiery to try them yet as they aren't very easy to put on but with practice and experience it becomes easier & fabric easily gets caught and can cause a slight fabric run on them(I have a caused a little run to the gusset already)hence I recommend wearing gloves to put them on and make sure your nails or rough finger surfaces don't run on them so you can prolong its lifespan(this tip applies to all kind of hosiery)

In conclusion, for a man who isn't into footless tights, these ones really impressed me and I really recommend  these to people who like footless tights and even to men like me who aren't into footless tights to try these too! I mean they aren't very expensive either so.. why not? I give these footless tights a rating of 3.5 out 5 stars. Once again I would like to thank Knittex for providing me these samples and I look forward to reviewing more of their products!

P.S I hope you don't wear these as a replacement of pants as they really aren't pants at all.
