Special Focus: Future Ladder Resist Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we will be looking in depth at Couture's Future Ladder Resist Tights.

These pair of hose were graciously sent by Legwear International and today's feature will be on Couture's Future Ladder Resist Tights. To start off, I have to say that I'm not a very big fan of sheer hosiery, I prefer seeing it on another person's legs as I kinda knew the super extra care I need to have while putting them on and taking them off and I know because of some I have ruined before!

First look

I really like the packaging for these tights, they were packed inside of a big cardboard slip with the clear plastic slip containing the hose.I was given a pair of near black ones by Legwear International. As I took them out, these felt pretty soft and nice to touch. These are 10 denier, had reinforced toes(but you don't see an extra layer of nylon over the toes) and a Panel Gusset for XL, feature a control top and were shape boarded.

Putting them on

I was given an XL for these pair of pantyhose, these felt pretty short on the legs(probably because I got pretty toned up legs)when I put them on and pretty tight, I was quite afraid I would ruin them, it's durability is pretty good but I felt that I have kind of overstretched them.

Closer look to the finish of the legs.

Feel and look

These felt really smooth and soft, these give you a feeling like a second skin and you will forget that you have them on after wearing them over a period of time. The tights don't give off any shine at all and they are really sheer, the most interesting and the most important feature of these tights are that they are ladder resistant tights made with a dynamic bonded yarn technology.

Here is a look I have come out with the Future Ladder Resist Tights.

Double breasted jacket: H&M  Shirt:  Model's own Shorts: THOMAS SMITH  Shoes: NORTH STAR  Eyewear: H&M  Legwear: COUTURE   Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

The following properties such as Comfort, Compression, Durability, Opacity, Shine & Price will be rated by numbers.

Comfort: 4 out of 5 points

Compression: 0 out of 5

Durability: 3 out of 5
points

Opacity: 0 out of 5
points

Shine: 0 out of 5

Price: 5 out of 5

Price 4.99GBP

Material Content: 68% Nylon, 31% Elastane & 1% Cotton

Sizes:

  •          S = 148-168cm, 81-92cm Hip
  •          M = 152-172cm Height, 94-109cm Hip
  •           L = 168-179cm Height, 109 -124cm Hip
  •         XL = 168-179cm Height, 124 - 140cm Hip

Colours: Black, Near Black, Natural Tan & Nude

Pros: Ladder Resist technology, clings to you like second skin, soft, comfortable, nude colour should be a good "stealth" for men who wants to wear them with shorts, makes a good combination for women who wear hosiery to work as they would last for a good number of wears & easy on the wallet.

Cons: Sizing in terms of height isn't the best, these mostly wouldn't fit men of my stature as these are usually shaped accordingly to women's sizes, it mostly wouldn't fit men and women beyond 1.79cm or 5'10". & extra care has to be taken when putting them on(put on gloves or do some pedicure before putting them on)

To buy them go to this link! (As of now 29th of July 2013 they are currently out of stock)

Conclusion:

Unfortunately these tights didn't fit me too well, anyways I'm on my way getting to a better shape. I'm sure that if did fit me well these would have been really awesome tights to have. These are really suitable I believe for the working women who struggle with horrible quality sheer tights they get from drug stores and supermarkets and I really believe these are for you ladies!

Weekly Vibe #38

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to the 38th edition of Weekly Vibe! I hope you guys had a great week! I know that it is really really warm in Europe and I totally know how it feels because I live in a region where it is summer all year round, just cool off in the shopping mall, drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated! And if you do have to wear legwear, make sure you're wearing sheers please!! Hahaha!

I had quite a normal week with work, church, legwear and life. I have found myself  recently getting really interested in drop crotch pants.

But seriously I'm probably more interested in drop crotch shorts, well for very obvious reasons right? Hahaha!

I was wondering how I would look in these with kind of bottoms with legwear... I could only imagine.. Hahaha!

StockingsHQ is having a special clearance sale with free UK delivery throughout this weekend, read all about here. Various brand such as Aristoc, Gerbe, Trasparenze & etc. are going on sale!

UK Tights is also having a 7.00GBP off sale on selected products from Gerbe, Trasparenze, Cecilia de Rafael, Kunert & etc. Check it out here

Weekly Vibe #37

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to the 37th edition of Weekly Vibe! I hope you guys had a great week! Although I was down with a cold but it didn't prevent me from celebrating my good friend's wedding on Saturday! I was glad to be part of it and did something extra by helping him photograph some really special moments of that special day, here are some photos!

Earlier this week I watched Despicable Me 2!! It was adorably great! I really love Agnes as she is so adorable!!! Coolest part was that I watched it with a co-worker whom I'm starting to like a lot.. Hahaha!

Today I helped cover the co-worker whom I'm starting to like at work as she was down with fever after she had a fall.. poor girl. Worked about 3/4 of a workday, my boss was nice to give me time back for work today and I'm gonna be using that time for writing up hosiery reviews!!! I know right...

StockingsHQ is giving a 25% all Nylonica products this week so don't miss out!

UK Tights has got new patterns released from Pierre Mantoux Fashion and Le Bourget Fashion. I'm looking forward to review Pierre Mantoux's legwear the next time.. after clearing my backlog of reviews with Legwear International and PantyhoseHQ.

That's all for this week!

Boys and Men Legwear throughout recent history and now!

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

As I was googling around I found a really interesting Flickriver page that belonged to Karl'sfriend and in it contained a treasure trove of very insightful photos of boys and men in legwear, and no, not the ones you will see from the renaissance but as late as recently and as way back as the early 1900s to 1940s and up to right now!

Here are some photos:

For more photos look here!

After seeing these photos, I'm sure anyone would be so convinced that the idea of males wearing tights isn't at all anything new, I mean some children regardless of gender in Russia wears tights for warmth. And the fact that it has been so throughout the times and no one really noticed until suddenly opaque tights became suddenly popular during 2008 for women and we all know suddenly every women started wearing opaques at work, and for fun. Well not to mention, with men started to "re-pick up" the trend again and worst still (in my opinion and not disrespecting Chan Kraemer) calling tights that are made for men "Mantyhose" made it look weird for us guys to wear them again. I mean why call them "Mantyhose"? Look at the 2nd photo, there were simply called Strumpfhose or Pantyhose in German. Whatever the case.. Just match your clothes right and wear your tights!

Weekly Vibe #36

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to the 36th edition of Weekly Vibe! This week was finally me going back to work!! Well had mixed feelings I was happy yet felt kinda down at the same time, happy because the studio was much nearer to home and is now in the shopping district. I felt down because I was missing the good company of my military buddies and the incredibly relaxed schedules I had during my tour of duty and for the fact that I have to work 3 saturdays for in a month.. oh well. At first I thought I would be getting some problems adjusting back to work life until I met my first customers and when I saw their baby started smiling at me, everything came back!!

I'm finding it hard to post frequently due to many commitments I have however this blog too is also a commitment to me, I try my very best to keep posting stuff and I try my best to be a man of my word.

If you have read on my post of my new tights order with Tightsplease, the sale discount isn't just off the FALKE Pure matt 100 denier tights, it is actually on most FALKE products up to 50% off, have a look here

Don't wait till autumn or winter to stock up, do it now!!!

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

I have recently ordered a pair of FALKE Pure Matt 100 denier tights from Tightsplease

It is the first time I'm trying FALKE and we all know it to be one of the top brands and boy am I really looking forward to these! Don't wait till too long before the offer is gone!

I ordered a black pair in XL however it seems like Tightsplease has ran out of stock in L & XL sizes so it's on back order, I think I'm probably see a pattern either it's really tall women ordering or just more men ordering from them..? What do you think?

I came to know about this through our friend Hosiery For Men's blog in this post here. Just like what he says, "My advice is to stock up now for autumn and winter." So don't wait!!

Weekly Vibe #35

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to the 35th edition of Weekly Vibe!! I hope you all had a great week as I did! This week marked the end of my reservice military tour of duty for the year and we ended it with a prawn fishing or prawning event and boy was it really fun to fish for prawns! I was really glad that at least I managed to catch 3 pretty decent sized prawns or shrimps some of you people call it!

After catching them they went straight to the barbecue pit!

Oh boy did these taste great and really fresh too!

On Saturday I went for a cosplay event dressed up as a WWII Panzer NCO with my other fellow "German" soldiers and it was fun meeting other cosplayers and the pretty girls of course! Hahaha!

I also took some fun photos of my friends in their gear:

Me in the black uniform inspecting and adjusting the outfits of the  "German" soldiers
Sunday was probably the highlight for me as least because my Church was going back to our home at Suntec City! Yay! Another awesome thing is that my journey is a lot shorter! Hallelujah! :)

Okay now for the REAL stuff! Hosiery news of course! Summer is really a bummer and plus it's summer all year round here in Singapore.. StockingsHQ is having a 10% off their sheer hosiery products, check them out here!

That's it for the week! Have coming week ahead!

Special Focus: Silky Medium Support Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we will be looking in depth at the Silky Medium Support Tights.

These pair of hose were graciously sent by Legwear International and today's feature will be on the Silky Medium Support Tights. To start off, I have to say that I'm not a very big fan of sheer hosiery, I prefer seeing it on another person's legs as I kinda knew the super extra care I need to have while putting them on and taking them off and I know because of some I have ruined before!

First look

They look pretty good actually, these were packed in a small cardboard printed box and nicely packed inside. I was given a pair of nude ones by Legwear International. As I took them out, these felt pretty soft and nice to touch. These had reinforced body and toes, and a gusset for better durability

Putting them on

I was given an L for these pair of pantyhose and usually I'm wearing XL ones, putting these on definitely gave me some butterflies in the stomach! However I realised that these have very very good stretch and they fitted pretty well!

Closer look to the finish of the legs

Feel and look

These felt really smooth and had a slight shine to the legs(even though it is mentioned to have a matte finish) which I believe will appeal many to women who want good shiny looking legs. These have medium support as well but they don't squeeze legs very badly either. These really benefited me as I was out the whole day taking photos and went home with my legs not feeling the aches at all! Amazing!! These sheer tights also feel very robust and will seem to last for many wears!

Here is a look I have put up featuring the Silky Medium Support Tights

Jacket: ReWorkz  Shirt:  UNIQLO Shorts: THOMAS SMITH  Shoes: NORTH STAR  Shades: H&M  Legwear: SILKY   Model & Photographer:  A. LUCIUS. KUNSTWERKE FABRIK

The following properties such as Comfort, Compression, Durability, Opacity, Shine & Price will be rated by numbers.

Comfort: 3.5 out of 5 points

Compression: 2.5 out of 5
points

Durability: 3 out of 5
points

Opacity: 0 out of 5
points

Shine: 4 out of 5
points

Price: 5 out of 5
points

Price 3.79GBP

Material Content: 80% Polyamide & 20% Spandex

Sizes:

  •          M = 152-172cm Height, 94-109cm Hip
  •           L = 168-179cm Height, 109 -124cm Hip
  •         XL = 168-179cm Height, 124 - 140cm Hip
Colours: Diamond, Nude & Sherry

Pros: Provides very good support, feels durable, provides for some "stealth" for men who intends to wear them with shorts & wallet friendly.

Cons: Sizes are quite limited, sizing doesn't seem to cater for both men and women who are on the taller side. extra care has to be taken when putting them on(put on gloves, do some pedicure before putting them on)

Conclusion:

These are indeed great value for money medium support sheer hosiery, I recommend for guys roughly my build to get XL, these make very good tights for wearing when you know you're gonna have a long day at work be it prolonged standing, walking or sitting. You might feel that your upper body maybe be tired but your legs still feeling energised!  If you're looking for decently priced sheer support tights, these are for you!
