This is an interesting outfit put up by young female menswear fashion designer Inês Duvale, I'm actually in the process of trying to contact her to get more information about her well because if you actually checked out most of her LA RESISTANCE SS16 collection you'd see many guys in black opaque tights with shorts and skirts alike and that got me really intrigued! I'm really hoping to get into contact with her soon! 

Yes yes I know most of the guys don't really wear skirts except for our friend Christopher at Legstyle of course! I haven't really explored it.. I might do something like what the model is doing, not your typical mainstream kind of "skirt" you see typically worn by women but something unique, a different style cutting, I really like the white asymmetrical zip white jacket and the black knee length boots, damn awesome!

Weekly Vibe #102

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to Weekly Vibe #102! This week saw Legwear Fashion For Men accepting the Blog Hop baton as nominated by Hosiery For Men and recently posting it up this week. Personally for myself it was a great week for myself to unwind and go out on a date with a nice lady I knew years back and finally starting to take things a little further than just casual friends, and guess what? She is perfectly cool with me having legwear as part of my outfits! Woohoo! Hahaha! Sorry no pics till we get official! :P

What got me really really interested with UK Tights this week were that they got a really unique Wolford Limited Edition Jewellery Tights.

Blog Hop!

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

A few weeks back a good blogger friend of me Hosiery For Men threw the Blog Hop baton to me, you can also read his blog hop as nominated by Fashion Writer Linda Hobden 

So here we go!

1. What am I working on?

Like all if not most fashion bloggers, we strive to get as many attention and readership as possible, and I personally believe that fashion bloggers are the ones who impact fashion as a whole on the streets, because people are likely to be more convinced through words. Ultimately blogs are also media outlets and that I strive to bring to the public that men's legwear fashion are the "in" thing! I currently also am working on some backlogs of product reviews mostly from Activskin. 

2. How does my work differ from others?

Most male hosiery blogs focus more on hosiery product reviews in detail but what Legwear Fashion For Men does here is building up on the reviews by providing a fashion edge to things and the flow goes like this... "now that I know how well it fits, now how should I go on about wearing them out." Other than product reviews, Legwear Fashion For Men does weekly outfit posts(Outfit of the Week) for outfit inspirations and weekly updates(Weekly Vibe) for weekly updates on hosiery offers and happenings to my personal life to inspire other men to wear their legwear confidently. 


3. Why do I write what I do?

I always believe that there is more to it than just suits, jeans, pants to men's fashion, sure who doesn't like a woman with well turned legs in hosiery but like a quote from Legwear4men "Because Men Have Legs Too!" and indeed we do need warmth and support for legs, we work just as hard too! Most men would have worn hosiery but wear them under their jeans and pants, and gosh do you know how warm and uncomfortable it can be? Here we encourage our male readers to wear them with shorts and pair up them with shoes and clothing and accessories

4.How does my writing process work?

When I go hunting for outfit ideas, I will consider a few factors: 

1)Will I try something like that? Well if I wouldn't, why would my readers do it?
2)Would the outfit be too visually striking? 
3)Certain outfits only suits a different kind of audience. 
4)Everyone has a different level of boldness openly wearing tights with shorts.

As for Weekly Vibes, I will share noteworthy life events and also good hosiery products deals over the internet. Twitter is also a platform I use to promote this fashion movement, together hand-in-hand with other male hosiery blogs, we break new grounds for Men's legwear fashion!

I would like to thank Hosiery For Men for nominating to do this blog hop and also the support I get from various hosiery retailers and businesses like Activskin, UK Tights, Tightsplease, PantyhoseHQ and Legwear International that have supported this blog over the 2 years! Weekly Vibe #101

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Welcome to 101st Weekly Vibe! I was recently passed on the baton by our friend Hosiery For Men for the Blog Hop. I honestly think this is a great idea, it helps to somehow bond bloggers together, exchanging thoughts and letting fellow bloggers and readers on what's next and what we do! I will be fulfilling this blog during this week and to be honest I am very excited about it!

Recently last Friday it was National Stockings Day and many women in the UK decided to "stocking it up" for Breast Cancer Care, Charnos Hosiery is really championing this with a donation drive as well!. And I think that beyond the profit from sales, I think it is great that corporations also join in the bandwagon of engaging in social responsibility and for that I really respect Charnos Hosiery!

Although I'm no big fan of stockings but hey, this is really a noble thing to do and I really think National Stockings Day shouldn't just be something that women embrace, men should too! I remember a blogger by the name of Phbalanced proclaimed an International Men In Tights Day on the 1st of November. Why not?

Weekly Vibe #100

Hi Creative and Fashionable people,

Welcome to our 100th WEEKLY VIBE!! Wow it's been 100 posts already meaning it has been a 100 weeks!

This week was really interesting for me because it was a mixture of a lot of ups and downs, I had a very cool and awesome Мумий тролль (Mumiy Troll) Tuesday!

Мумий тролль is Russian rock group that was formed in 1983 and it remains to be one of Russia most popular rock groups and boy is it a privilege to watch them perform! Russian rock has got to be my personal favourite all time! The coolest part was that on that day, lead singer and founder Ilya Lagutenko was spotting a kilt and legwear for his outfit! Woohoo! You can't be cooler than that!

Recently on Twitter, one of our friend blogs HosieryForMen has nominated this blog for a bloghop, and basically it's like a "tag-you're-it" kind of a thing which will require a willing blogger to answer these 4 questions: 

1) What am I working on?
2) How does my work differ from others in this genre?
3) Why do I write what I do?
4) How does my writing process work?

And so I have decided to take up this blog hop and today I decide to nominate Rob Speedking and Sachiel of Tights Under Shorts for this bloghop! Hahaha!

And for the interesting fact this blog is still very much alive and good after a year! Thank God for all of you who read and support this blog everyday! You are all that make this blog alive!

Weekly Vibe #40

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

I hope you all had a great week! I certainly did have a great week myself! I tried a new "sport" on Sunday, I recently acquired myself a Nerf rifle! 

I actually have been thinking of acquiring for years but held back because I didn't know anyone who played these guns until I found out that a fellow cellgroup member of mine plays Nerf guns! Here are some photos we had done during match breaks. 

Just in case you didn't notice, I'm the guy with the mask on the right. :D

Needless to say I was very exhausted after running around, scoot and shoot! 

These week on the 9th of August also marked Singapore's National Day! Yay!! Meaning off day for me from work.. lol!

In Focus: Knittex 20 Den Smart Tights

Hi Creative and Fashionable people!

Today we will be taking an in depth look of a unique pair of tights by Knittex. As you all might have know that Knittex has graciously sent me 2 sample pairs of their men's collection of their hosiery products, one of which is this "Smart" 20 den tights and the "Sporty" 100 den Opaque Footless Tights, you can read the review of the latter in here (You might probably notice the package saying 30 den but actually in its physical form.. it has been corrected to 20 den)

The Smart tights was packaged in a very classy rectangular cardboard packaging with the tights wrapped around a card in a clear plastic envelope which I find it useful to store my tights. Packaging is style is identical to that of the Sporty Opaque Footless Tights.

At first I got very mixed feelings as I am not a big fan of sheers at all due to the fact that sheer tights typically do not last long. I was more meticulous at handling and putting them on, I usually would use gloved hands to put on my tights and these sheers were no exceptions because no one likes having snags in their tights right?

Putting them was quite a bit of an experience because I didn't want ruin them so soon, when I actually rolled them up all the way to my thigh I found out to my horror, the right inner thigh part of the tights had a very tiny snag mark and I wasn't too sure if I caused or not, but it wasn't so bad as that part of my legs wouldn't show.. But it didn't matter as I wore jeans because it was working day for me. They seem to glide very well up my legs and under long pants, it was actually quite easy to wear them provided that your legs are dry of course! I also noticed a matt shine to the tights. The boxer and socks were made of higher denier content, opacity looking like 80 denier.

I wore them for the entire work day at the gallery taking enquiries, I'm usually tasked to work in the studio as a photographer but specially for that week I was assigned to the gallery, so I thought I try the Smart tights under my jeans.

These tights are designed to be worn as undergarment as well which is something I really like about Knittex tights. They actually felt really comfortable and smooth, so much so that I forgot that they are actually still on! And well I have to say that though these don't cost a lot but in terms of comfort, they fall under the category of excellent hosiery brands. Not the sort you pick up from the drug store.

Material content: Polyamide 88% & Elastane 12% with gusset

Sizes: 3, 4 & 5 M, L & XL

Colours: Black

Pros: Nice glide, comfortable, stays in place, good size ranges, inexpensive & unique.

Cons: Snag easily due to denier level, you can wear them for extended times only if you have taken very very good care of them & a lot more care is needed to handle them.

In conclusion I would like to describe these tights to be a little bit of an adventure for me, the adventure of putting them on and not ruining them so soon and the adventure of actually enjoying how they felt on my legs. I am rating these 2.5 out of 5 stars. If you are really into something unique and sheer or just something to wear under your mundane working attire in lieu of your socks.. try these! :)
